1) Trey Lance is good at football. Finishes the regular season with no interceptions and 30+ touchdowns. He deserves both the Rice and Payton.
2) Kobe Johnson is electric. Cofield has really come into his own and anywhere else in the country Brooks is a feature back. Amazing what depth we have at that position.
3) This game felt like a Valley game. Tough sledding for a lot of it but we continue to be our own biggest enemy. I don't know if I've seen a more talented Bison squad. I know I've never seen one this undisciplined. That could bite us. I hope they work it out.
4) Kicking suddenly feels like a concern again. Hopefully I'm reading too much into it.
5) Great game by Hendricks. That int was beautiful and his goal line stop late in the 4th was an exclamation point.
6) Bunnies currently losing to South Dakota. Montana gets blanked by MSU. Could have some shakeup for selection Sunday. SIU deserves to be in as well.
7) The streak continues. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

12-0. 33 straight. Homefield advantage locked in iron. The F'n Hawks likely headed to the Fargodome in the playoffs.

Today was a good day.

Zero interceptions in a 12 game season. I wonder if any non triple option QB has done that in D1?

I don't think any of us would have expected that at the beginning of the year.

I thought the best ball he threw today was an incompletion at the end of the first half. Amazing ability for a kid so young.

Cofield needs to take Saybein Clarke with him to the weight room. Adam is one strong man. Arms are huge. Has he ever fumbled?

I get the impression sometimes that the Bison could just throw to Jimmy all day long and score on every possession.

This WR group turned out to be way better than expected this year. This team is crazy good. Tyler needs to step up his game. I mean, he is just doing more to stifle the Bison offense than opposing defenses.

Tyler is like the human brain; only 10 percent of the potential is being used.

They missed way more than one play.

They also split screened the most important drive in the game to interview PGT. Which is fine, great to hear from the guy, but he doesn't have to be on half my screen for it.

They need to keep him involved. Really physical runner and has done some great things in the flat in the passing game. Might be the surprise player of the year.

My guess, they got their way as kids by whining until their parents gave in. Hence, why they keep complaining. Fortunately, in the grown up world, they get ignored by the decision makers who know what they are doing.

With that said, good gritty win for the Bison. While listening to Bison 1660 before the game JJ mentioned the weather was cold and misty. Glad this didn’t create turnovers for the Bison Offense. Also glad to see Trey pass effectively in this type of weather.

Good job by the defense figuring out Javon Williams. Although that was about the third or fourth time I saw SIU stopped on a goal line stance this year, nobody else could figure out how to stop Williams from taking over the game.

Like Coach Entz said, it was nice to play a team that was on a roll like SIU and have them "check our oil" and get us ready for the playoffs. Fun game to watch. Thanks to KVLY for airing a road game it once again.

Their #15 was impressive yes but they will need to train him on how to pass a ball as the D keys on it always being a run. Kupouris had a huge day and was able to make big plays on long 3rd downs to keep drives alive. Rest up players and coaches, enjoy your turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Day and reflect on what you have and have done and be thankful.

Javon Williams can throw. The Bison secondary shut down that option today. He was looking for it when he would take a few steps towards the line of scrimmage. If nobody was open, he went for the run.

Hope to see the run defense cleaned up during the bye week. They have given up 188 rush yards per game at 4.5 yards per carry over the last 5 games. That's just not characteristic of Bison defenses during this championship run.

Cox isn’t right, that’s obvious. Thought Merc played well today tho. Need interior Dline to maintain line of scrimmage a bit better AND, at least occasionally, penetrate and make negative stops.

Didn’t know we had FG problems in 2012. I thought those issues were restricted to Cam Pederson who made clutch kicks but was a 60% FG kicker who struggled in 2015 and 2016. I don’t remember Keller struggling ever, much less as a sophomore.

The offense has so many playmakers and the OL is stout. Outside ZJohnson getting a billion penalties, they are up there with some of our best.

The defense still has a few green areas. Several guys have really improved though. Im not sure anyone outside JMU can beat us.

That was a good game. The SIU running game is probably the best we will see all season. You know we are pretty good when our defense looks shitty at times, and we only allowed 7 points. But we gotta tackle better. Jabril looked like he needed a week off to get healthy. Glad we will have a bye week. The team needs to and deserves the rest.

Pretty nuts when Trey can account for 30 TDs and zero picks.

A lot of it boils down to the snapper I think. To be fair Kennelly was recruited as a LB but he's looked really shaky to my untrained eye. I hope they recruit a long snapper this offseason.

I also hope they don't need to make a FG to tie/win the game late in any playoff game this year.

Thought the same thing today about how Johnson reminded me of Bonnett in how he's always good for at least one penalty per game.

Not sure Crosa even gets the kick off of Wegner secures the snap. There were all sorts of SIU players in the backfield.

The whole operation is a mess. Which I think attributes to Crosa’s inconsistency. I’m he trusts Kennelly and Wegner’s abilities to get a decent snap and hold about as far he can throw them (and he’s just little guy, so it ain’t far). So when the stars do align and he does actually get the opportunity to attempt a kick, he’s probably caught of guard and shanks it.

At this point in the season we just need to realize that we have much more of a chance converting the 4th down with our incredibly talented offense than we do sending that bunch out there. In fact I’ll take Lance diming a 30 yarder on a rope to Jimmy K in the corner of the end zone any day and twice on Saturdays

Hey that’s actually a good point. If that trickster swinging gate play we do after touchdowns is so great, why don’t we do it on field goals? There’s more area for the defense to have to cover and the field goal is more difficult than an extra point.

I am very concerned we see another game plan during the playoffs that's similar to this one and the SDSU game. Coach Roehl needs to figure this out. Play Bison football, if it works against Western Ill. it will work against Nicholls, UCA, Sac St. and JMU. Admittedly, the second half was much better than the first. Bench Zach Johnson, send a message.

" Bench Zach Johnson, send a message."

Please dear god tell me you meant to make this purple. Only bison fans would complain about putting up 400 yards of offense on a sub par day. And having a frieght train like Zac Johnson as your pulling guard. Im sure the message would be heard if you benched him....question is which message? That we have no idea what we are doing??? He has had a couple penalties but he has also been a bulldozer on numerous occasions.

Was at the game. Was definitely some interesting play calling. Lot of first down passes in the first half. And #15 had no interest in throwing the ball so it was definitely odd seeing NDSU roll safeties over in coverage when they went wildcat. I mean maybe he was gonna throw but there was no way he was gonna take deep shots down the field on a day like it was.

The drive to end the half NDSU moved the ball really well I felt like it would continue into the second half and it did and they scored on 2 of their 3 drives and had a chance on the botched FG snap/

And on Trey's last TD run, it was Johnson chaperoning him into the end zone.

If the Bison defense learned one thing from the SIU game its that you need to lower your pad level when tackling. I understand few teams can even practice the art of tackling any longer in football, however, Jabril Cox for one is going to learn the hard way when he see's the NFL field. He plays REALLY high and will for sure get blasted early and often at the next level. He is such a great talent now that he gets away with it (most of the time). As for Hankey, might be the most improved defensive player on the team from early season and there are a LOT of improved players to pick from.

Hard to say. It's possible.... I'm pretty sure scores of women became pregnant just from being close to a screen those videos were played on.

Zack's blocking on that play was so beautiful and great that he takes out two guys at one time and nearly causes a Bisonviller to go full Roxbury with approval.

I promise I was much happier than the end of that clip showed. I had already distributed all my high fives.

Wow, what the hell is SIU #90 doing in that clip? Just awful effort. Just a stark difference between him and ZJ shown here.

Getting gassed. I think you pointed out someone I might be able to beat in a 40 yard dash.

I think there were similar comments from Jacksonville State players when we met in the championship game.

As I recall it their fans were a bit defensive when we called their linemen fat. They did not seem to be able to distinguish the body comp diff between ours and theirs. Astonishing.

#25 got up after that and popped big Zack in the chest with a shoulder right at the goal line after Lance was already about 3 steps into the endzone. He (#25) was usually in the middle of the post-play jaw flapping that both teams were getting into the majority of the first half.

Gabe went off on fat guys and McDonald's a couple of years ago and I admittedly got a little sad. A couple of warm Krispy Kremes and a Venti white mocha and I was all better.

I’m pretty wild at bri-dog’s watch parties myself. So much that I have strategically put myself in an area so I don’t anger those behind me.
