Heading out to a family dinner tonight so we might as well get this started now:

1) Trey Lance is good at football. He deserves the Rice and Payton. Change my mind.
2) Thank you to little brother for securing us the MVFC championship. According to my records that is the 37th MVFC championship in a row. Unbelievable accomplishment and only fitting it came at the expense of UNI.
3) Luepke has been fun to watch the last few weeks. Keep him in the rotation, especially if the injury to Babicz is serious.
4) Watson is getting better week after week. I'm looking forward to some special performances in the playoffs.
5) I thought USD did some good things throughout the game. Just all on the offensive side of the ball. Seems to be the case with them the past many years.
6) KVLY is shit. I can't wait for the ESPN broadcasts.
7) The streak continues.

700 today

With backups for 2+ qtrs

This offense is firing on all cylinders

Right there with you—gotta love that SRs we’re down with that.

Otherwise, I felt our RBs really finished runs well and physical today—moreso than any other game this year. Love it! Hell, there was even a run by Brooks in second half where he lowered his shoulder for finishing contact and the DBack wanted nothing to do with it and bailed low!! Awesome!!

Statistically this year has been better than last year. 41.7 points per game compared to 41.5 last year. 502.6 total yards per game compared to 471.7 last year. 305.7 rush yards per game compared to 286.2 last year. 6.62 yards per carry compared to 6.41 last year. 191.1 passing efficiency this year compared to 169.7 last year.

Last year's team was an offensive monster but this year's team has been even better in pretty much every area except penalties. What a masterful job done by Tyler Roehl and the offensive coaches.

Nice to see a lot of reps for a lot of different guys. The depth of this team is pretty incredible. Trey Lance was sensational, hard to believe he is only a redshirt freshman.

This might be our best team ever. I know nobody wants to say it but c’mon. No Jabril today and the D barely misses a beat!?! And seriously, the team will keep Trey humble, but if you don’t think he’s a 1-2 round pick in a few years you don’t know football. We will be blessed if Jabril gives us another year, but I doubt it. He will probably go in the 2nd round this year. Winning breeds winning, don’t worry about it. More greats will come.

Apparently biggest point of discussion on the yote board is when during the game four years ago Wentz broke his wrist. If us Bison fans claim it was at any point earlier than the last series we are being delusional.

He was rolling out the the right and got knocked down.after a pass. Clean hit. Some point during the first half... Maybe first quarter, can't remember exactly.

From the game yesterday. Nothing to discuss. USD is worse at every position. NDSU could have named their score. Game was over after the first quarter.

Of course we didnt want Carson to get hurt, but the rest of the season is almost folklore. The way Easto took us to Frisco and Carson came back to win it. Thank you USD for being the piece that gives us something to remember.

RIGHT On Herdbot!
This is what NDSU has been missing is Southern Speed at WR. Separation from more athletic secondaries has always been our issues when we play teams from the Colonial or south. Team speed is now showing why our offense is BEST in the last decade by far with extremely high level of talent, sprinkle in the power run game, and you've got 700 yards in offense, 690 yards in offense and getting better each week.....scary for other teams seeing these stats!!!
The Best QB in the nation by far, and he is a redshirt frosh???? All D1 football, Hurt at Oklahoma, and Tuppu in Bama, Trey is as good or better in my football experience over the past 40 years!

WE are Being Herd in the college landscape for sure! Quote from Scottie Miller, " My oh my"!

2. NDSU is becoming Quarterback U for the NFL....never seen a Freshman so composed, talented, skilled, gifted....etc...… Hes a combination of all our best in one over the past 15 years ……

You still have to factor in the competition to some extent. It’s easy to complete passes when guys are completely wide open. Trey has been excellent but hasn’t had to show it against really good teams yet. He’ll get his opportunity

Off the top of my head Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama (Tua isnt leaving early after the injury), plus a whole host of others where the incumbent would be a Senior

That being said Lance is very good. On TV those scrambles he makes the defenders look like they are in slow motion. I cant believe some of the plays he makes with his legs where he doesnt get touched. Very exciting few more years for the Bison fans

What amazes me about those throw backs and the wheel routes is NDSU has been running that same play or variation of it for years and still no one can defend it. Seemed to me he knew where he was going the whole time just looked right to look off the defense. His deep ball accuracy is very good and thinking hes only a freshman makes it that much more amazing

If you mean 'best offense in FCS' (not best NDSU offense), some of the folks at James Madison may challenge you on this. JM is putting up some pretty good numbers this year. It looks like the separation in the FCS between the pair of NDSU and JMU and the next tier of good FCS teams is growing.

Defensive Points, turnover margin, etc. NDSU is better.

Pump the brakes a bit man......

No, I won't pump the brakes until he Lance leads us to Frisco, then rips up JMU or gets tested for the 2nd time this year?
Better yet, when he beats Oregon next Sept, and the national media can't say enough of how "Talented" this qb is...

I get bored watching Power 5 QBs who can't move like him, remain calm like him, and throw like him. He's SPECIAL like no other we have had before......my eyes don't lie.... but all that being said, he has only faced 1 descent team this year and that was the Bunnies so it is what it is, not Treys fault to want to be the best QB in all of college football....and what his schedule is.....

His stats are just sick, almost to good to be true..... mark my words he won't stay 4 years at NDSU.... he will go in the draft and fore go his senior season..... he's that good.
Pat Mahommes - this kid has all you have and more....

Glad he is wearing green and gold.....

Sloopy penalties got to get cleaned up and get our linebacker crew healed up, but that's football....

So no pumping the brakes the EYES don't deceive me....

Usd #2 was a #2. Even slapped like a #2.

I did think it was great that coach pulled him instantly after his stupid shove/push/slap in the end zone. Increased my respect for Nielson.

That whole team is a #2. I guess I have to give them credit though. That #2 team did allow for our #2 QB start 8 games while our #11 was out and got many W's in the process to get him our #2 QB to be drafted in the NFL draft.

Did he have that run against Wofford in the playoffs? That was beautiful.

No, just from the past game. Ty put a stiff-arm on an LB and sent him to the underworld. absolutely brutal for that LB.

For some reason, I can't embed the video so I've had to include a link that this is 1995 or something.

Note: and that might not be the one I'm thinking of.

Just posted it in the Lance thread but it bears repeating. Guys on the outside are straight up winning everywhere. Running wide open. Really hard to defend us when 2/3 of the wrs and
TEs don't have a guy within 5 yards of them

It's also worth pointing out that Youngstown St is ranked 115th in the FCS (out of 124) in defensive pass efficiency, Western Illinois is ranked 112th, and South Dakota is ranked 117th.

Those are 3 awful pass defenses in a row that the Bison have faced. SIU isn't great but they're better at 64th. SDSU is 5th and they shut down the Bison passing game although you could argue that was due to play calling (heavy on QB runs) and some missed opportunities. They'll face much better pass defenses as they progress through the playoffs.

Oh for sure, this will be a good comparison to how we could expect us to play against a team like Montana right now. Montana is ranked 61.

Not sure where else to post this. NDSU Bookstore is taking pre-sale orders for Snorty mini helmets!!

Or maybe the note is just saying the images are pre-sale/artist graphics and they just don't have proper photos of the product yet.
