Great news! 6'8" and probably still growing. Once Kramer gets his hands on him this guy he could become a monster at OT.

Big get as he had P5 interest (as the article in the OP points out).

They probably want them to come in more ready to play right away. Like this kid from a local high school here in Littleton, CO...

The FBS schools probably realized they wouldn't get him once we offered. No purple.

Welcome to NDSU

You know his rules.....every post has to outright refer to FBS or infer it in some roundabout way!

Sorry to screw up Mason Miller's commit thread. Congrats Mr Miller!

Why not keep him at TE? I obviously trust the staff but wonder why not create that mismatch for the LB's and in the secondary. Plus, he'll definitely get a lot of blocking experience at NDSU playing TE. I can't imagine any tougher assignment than a very athletic, tall, and strong TE that you need to compete with for jump balls but also who might knock you on your ass you're in a running play.

This kid checks every box. Tall with big frame. Athletic and played basketball. Small town tough with a farming work ethic.

Most fans get pumped up by the flashy skill players with uber offers. I like these kind or commitments better

These kids are the foundation of ndsu football. Getting the local talented kids is a must, and a big reason football is dominant and women's hoops not.

In this instance I'd say a legit comment more about the interest he had via visits. Was considered part of the big 3 from the valley area but no big offers. Good comment from El Chapo. Happy to have him! I want to make everyone a TE though. Going to be one big boy!

And speaking of the big 3 from the valley area......
Dom posted this interview with Mason Miller

http://bisonmedia.areavoices.com/ndsu-lands-its-second-commit-for-2020/

And had this tidbit towards the end of the written article......

Miller is a major get for the Bison coaching staff, who were trying to lock down all three of the high major players in the area. They feel confident that they can land Anderson as well.

That is a promising possibility on Seth Anderson......
SDSU legacy with previous offers from Kansas, New Mexico State, Northern Illinois and others

247 lists Kansas with 297 offers so far, with 6 commits - One OL among the 6, zero DL so far.

He has the frame to be just a monster LT. although athletic I’d guess his athleticism is quite there for who we would put at TE.

Give me a stud OT over a stud TE any day. NDSU's dynasty has been built on the strength of the offensive and defensive lines.

He's gonna have to put on at least 50 lbs to be on the o line...the coaches obviously know what they are doing, so they must see something in this kid as a future O line stud. I think a guy named Joe Haeg flew under the radar and turned out to be ok right? Not sure where he is today, but he had a good stint at NDSU

He’ll put on some more weight before he is done with high school and will really grow when he is a freshman.

Mason Miller (#87) seals edge, buries defender on the long td run in the video, also interviewed. (For those who get the Forum).
Still looks like a TE :)

Blooming Prairie has a kid #8, that looks like the best player on the field. I think they said he was a Mankato recruit. 6'3" 250, one of the fastest kids on the field.

His name is Gabe Hagen and he is a Mankato recruit. There is a nice article about in the Owatonna newspaper if you google his name. I can’t link it because I only brought my IPad down here and don’t know how to link it.

Miller left with an injury. I'm speculating it's a broken clavicle by the way he was holding his arm.

If it was his collarbone he will would probably be back after xmas. Depending on the break that is usually around a 6 week recovery. In some circumstances they suggest surgery, I think that is rare. Pretty sure they recommended Adrian Peterson have surgery coming out of OU, but he decided against it.

Not to lead to thread drift but are most of the schools we get Football players from have good or great BB programs?? You would think the success of our football program and a having a football recruit from the HS would lead a BB player our way since he has a HS friend going to NDSU.
