Yes, it was an April Fool's post.

The 'Bison White' helmet is a converted Jets mini helmet. It was the only white helmet with a green face mask that I could get easily. Actually seeing what a white helmet would look like intrigued me. I was just curious, but white is not in the Bison color scheme, and I am against using it.

There's not really a good way to make this work without significantly re-doing the logo, which would stimulate the brand either positively or negatively. Personally, I like tradition but could see something pretty cool here. Perhaps they use a B&W version of the old, old logo or maybe just a black/charcoal block letter "B" (like those baseball caps) plus the harvest grain in a charcoal color. I wish I had more photoshop skills and a bit more time so that I could mock a few things up. I think that there's a version that might be pretty cool it a modified logo were used.

I also think that they should have some of the old uni's / helmets every year for homecoming.

I'd like to see the green Harvest Helmets in the glossy finish. I don't mind the matte look for the green, but I think that the yellow in a matte finish would be ugly.
