Some are bored by playing AT&T. Some are not. Makes me wonder what people are looking for in an opponent coming into the FargoDome.

My preference for non-conference is: Somebody who NDSU hasn't played or somebody that finished the prior season highly ranked or somebody that NDSU has a history with and teams that dominate weak conferences

Right now, my top 3:

1. Jacksonville State (I'd even do this as a home-and-home because beating them twice would put us ahead in the series.)
2. Kennesaw State
3. Princeton (I'd do home and home with them too.)

Howard - Jay Walker's alma mater

Not in the dome but ULM might be nice since it's Emory Hunt's alma mater.

1) UND - I enjoy a public execution every once in awhile.
2) Any of the top Ivy-League schools
3) Any top-15 FCS school.

I really like the signing of NC A&T. Others I'd like to see:

Citadel
Grambling
Ivy Leaguers (Yale, Harvard, Princeton)

Harvard ...

Virtually any Ivy plus Grambling or Southern would do. I know the list isn't huge, but I would also add any school that has won a 1AA or FCS Natty. Lastly would be Cocky, what an annoying fan base .

JSU, Kennesaw, and shut up JMU.

Kennesaw. Getting tired of hearing how great they are only to see them lose in the playoffs before they get to us

I might be in the minority, but I don't want to play JMU in the regular season. NDSU is in their head. Let them watch are our scores and despair. Besides, the Bison have the series lead and the last win. :)

Now, if they ever beat NDSU again, they'd shoot right to the top of the list.

Edit: "are scores" instead of "our scores", cripes.

Probably not a bad idea to let them stew in their own juices. I just like to kick people when they are down. :D

Don't you get your ass kicked being that close and leaving the the "The" off of The Citadel?

Jacksonville State
-Annoying fan base and just to beat them again to HOPEFULLY shut them up for good

Grambling
-Historic program and a great draw

Any top 3 Ivy team
-Rare for them to come this far west, but would be another great draw and a unique game

I agree with the Ivy league choices. Would NDSU have to travel east as part of the deal?

Well I am really happy to get North Carolina A&T in the dome, so my new updated list is:

1. Northern Arizona (to smack them around for being unwilling to play us in 2013 when we needed a game after the Montana State buyout)
2. Villanova
3. Grambling State

I know these aren’t FCS, but what would it take to get MAC/MW schools to come to the dome? It probably wouldn’t be easy but NDSU might as well be the first to get that going. What does it take in terms of $$$?

Oh snap I love this game. While we are at it, what about scheduling the 85 Bears?

As for FCS teams Anyone from Ivy League or the HBCU’s as that would be NDSUs only chance to play them since they don’t play on playoffs

Actually wouldn’t surprise me to see us in a 2:1 at some point with G5’s; and if any team could pull it off it’s NDSU.

Throughout my travels, I’ve learned that the Mountain West is a bit pompous while the MAC is hemorrhaging money. MAC might be a chance, but would cost NDSU a pretty penny.

Isn't it over $1 mil per game? South Carolina paid Akron $1.3 mil for a late season make up game.

The Georgia State Panthers of Atlanta. They are a G5 team but when I brought NDSU up 4 years ago they said they would whoop your @ss!

They don't understand what the best team in FCS could to them. They $ucked in FCS.

They are a bad football team. Couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag

It is for a G5 or P5 school but 1.2 mill. from a P5 or G5 school to an FCS school? Never heard of a payoff to a FCS school

Perfect, you fly to Atlanta, get the higher paycheck over an FCS team & beat the hell out of a G5 team from a big city!

win-win for NDSU!!!!!!

I know this isn't an FCS team, but a matchup with Northwest Missouri would intrigue me a little. Of course, any FCS team at the dome is better than a D2 at the dome, but if it ever came to it, that would be an interesting one.

Howard because I want to see a Bison/Bison matchup.

Whichever program is the highest ranked ivy league school.

Wyoming. We could fake Bohl out by saying it's statue weekend.

Statue of a head coach (Snyder) on a hot August night in Manhattan.....Kansas State.....proposed statue of Craig Bohl…...Chris Klieman now with the Cats…..re-match with the Pokes.....

Kind of a full circle type scenario going on with this part of the thread.
