I was surprised that the Rockin R is not getting good reviews from the Cat fans. It sounds like it has changed a good bit since I was in school at MSU......but I too will water there.....Friday night and after the game.

Well........since I am 44 and married it is not my area of expertise......I am much better with the "Let's just get drunk" places.... ;D

A couple years back some buddies and I stopped at the Rocking R. Nice looking old-style pool table but the bar was very quiet. Anyway, we got the hairy eyeball from the moment we stepped into the bar so it was two beers and out for us. No idea what unwritten rule we broke because we were quiet, completely sober, and didn't break anything - of course, we were pretty scruffy looking so maybe that was it.

Don't remember seeing any women there.

Just had a few beers with some native Montanaians, and they said the Rockin R sucks. It used to be good a few years back, but now it has carpet. ???

Yes....used to have no carpet and had dried puke in the bathroom......great atmosphere. *There is another place called the Crystal close to the R that was always a good place too.....

Crystal is still a nice place. More for an older hangout crowd now though.

Are their any alumni of MSU-Bozeman, or any other Bison fans that live in Bozeman or have lived there?

I miss the atmosphere in Bozeman, and the lifestyle.... :(

There's a 3-1 ration up at the school, and the girls that are around all know they have the power because of the ratio of guys to girls, and they all use it to their advantage....
