Do like we've done and sleep in a rest area somewhere in Kansas on the way down. We've seen some "interesting" things spending the night at rest areas in northern California, but that's another thread.

Not bad when you consider 3 nights lodging. But You will spend less if you drive it your self and get a cheap hotel. Gas here in MN is at 2.09 a gal. Usually cheaper else where.

we did not have a great experience with this bus tour last year... if the stars align again this year, we will be taking an alternate route!
