Maurice Turner, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound wide receiver and team captain from Arden Hills (MN) Mounds View, is one of the state's top wideouts. He has led the Mustangs to a 3-3 start. Turner has caught 45 passes for 651 yards (14.5 yards per reception) and five touchdowns. Turner plans to attend this Saturday's Minnesota game versus Wisconsin. GoldenSports.net caught up with Turner to find the latest on his recruitment

Turner said that he is hearing Iowa State, Minnesota, Michigan State, North Dakota State and South Dakota.

Turner's dad played for the Vikings. His quarterback is Adam Weber, one of the best in the country and a Minnesota commit and they also has a OL/DL Brandon Hoey who is committed to Wisconsin. They we're on FSN last Friday when they played Hastings. Turner is big, has great hands, and runs really good routes, but is not the fastest guy, I believe 4.6 was his best time at the Minnesota passing camp. I know both Minnesota and Wisconsin think his future is as a tight end but he needs to work on blocking. Would be a great pick up for NDSU.
