Personally, I think these license plates could have been a little more green and gold instead of just the NDSU logo on a standard ND license plate. Examples of Iowa have the school colors of the three state schools.

Here in Kansas, they also show more school colors:

I agree completely, BisonKent.

I really like the Iowa plates, I don't think I'm going to get a North Dakota one.

I think we're lucky that we're getting this. From the get go I assumed that if ND did this that they would copy exactly what they do in MN. Same plate...just a little logo.

I think the Iowa plates are a bit garish (esp the ISU ones), the yellow is too much, would liked to have seen more green on the NDSU plates, but if my vehicles were registered in ND i would get one for sure.

I would sure get one too if I were in ND. However, I just thought they could have a little more NDSU colors on them to better distinguish them from the normal ND plates.

An interesting aside is that many states out east (like Virginia) allow you to have a university on your plate from pretty much anywhere. There are Notre Dame, Texas A&M etc etc etc plates in VIRGINIA!!

we had a whole thread on this at AGS

colorado incorporates the school colors into the regular design of the plates.

if you go here and click on the right side where it says plates in alpha. order, you can look at CSU, CU, DU, UNC, Air Force, Mines, Metro plates...

I personally think that we are lucky to have the opportunity to get the plate. A lot of student hours of lobbying the legislature went into this and if it's popularity is anything like the state FFA ones, it should be quite popular...not to mention that there would be other schools (like the one up north) that will try to mimic in the pride NDSU has.
