They blocked our last extra point in Frisco IIRC but weren't able to return it all the way for 2. We were up 2 and that return would have tied it up. Could have been huge swing as they would have got ball back with tie and momentum.

I think they wanted a stopped clock or conversion. That way if they don't make it, they still punt with the wind at their back. Could be a 30 yard swing in field position. I am guessing the long pass was designed to work as a punt if it had been Intercepted.
