I have a hard time backing things from Tee Spring, where the funds aren't automatically distributed to a set charity; and instead given to the artist. Not saying you're a liar...but anyone can say "Profits split between the Team Makers and the AO1 Foundation" and not mean it.

Nope, Gold Star Band.

Official colors are Yellow and Green. We interchange Yellow for Gold whenever we see fit since they are synonymous with each other.

Totally different from your school’s situation of switching pink for black or gray. First, pink, black and gray are not synonymous. Second, pink is a color, while black and gray are shades.

Simply put, your school’s colors are F’Hawked up.

Plus, Gold Rush also means we're rushing for the Championship.

The only time I've heard Yellow used in regards to Championships are the Brands brothers from Iowa when they talk about winning the "yellow" medals.

GSMB trivia for the day.

The word gold in the Gold Star Marching Band has nothing to do with NDSU's colors. The GSMB started as an ROTC band. Once or more per year, the Cadet Band (as it was known) would participate in ROTC reviews. The highest rating a unit could achieve was Gold Star. After years of receiving Gold Star ratings almost constantly, the Cadet Band took on the unofficial name 'Gold Star Band'. It kept the name even after the band was no longer affiliated with the ROTC program.


Here endeth the lesson.
