I didn't realize it was being used for more than just podcasts. Apparently they got in a lot of trouble with music sharing and weren't allowed to keep their advertising revenue, not that I saw any ads on their site to begin with.

lolol you thought it was just for podcasts? Their ads aren't on the site but when you listen to the music...like about every other music sharing site. SoundCloud is extremely important for amateur producers as it gives you a fair platform to share your music. I don't think it will go anywhere as it a vast depository of music. It's been pretty much the only platform I've used the last 4-5 years.

Honestly, I had never heard of Soundcloud until Herdbot was posting the podcast links from their site. Hence, why I didn't think they did anything besides podcasts.
