Do yourself a favor and read this message from Jake as he wraps up a storied career as yet another guy who worked his tail off to come from a walk-on to an All-American. Some good insight from a team leader on the mentality in the locker room this year compared to last year and some candid comments to the fans: https://x.com/KubasJake/status/1738276483121160606

Love it. We’re gonna miss him.

Really like where they turned things around on the third page about being sharper and tougher so not to let their brother down. Felt like we could see that during the season.

What an awesome farewell from an incredible team leader!
I guess you can’t underestimate the importance of the locker room.
Thank you Jake! Once a Bison…

And Polasek and the balance of staff need to read and absorb that farewell. Recruit the right people, coach them up and come gameday, get out of their way and let them play. It’s been 30+ years for me and my teammates, and we still call each other brothers and share life with each other. Analytics get in the way of that bond these days IMO.
