Like was posted in the recruiting thread - Jalen brutalizes defensive players.

Maryville = town has 6-time D2 national champs, Northwest Missouri State. It still echoes in my memory with the sound of an inadvertent whistle. :)

I hope he causes a lot of this type of crowd reaction while making life difficult for D-Lineman:

I love this part:
Sundell's decision to turn down an FBS school in Central Michigan came down to his desire to win big.

"If you go play in the MAC with Central Michigan you're probably going to end up 6-6 or maybe a little less than that," Sundell said. "Then you probably play in a bowl game that you're going to end up losing - or maybe you win. Even then you're still just winning a bowl game."

"If you go play at the top of the FCS, you have a good chance of competing for a national championship, which seems more appealing than going 50-50 and playing in a bowl game."

To have a recruit say that speaks volumes! At least in my opinion.

Mine too as I thought we were a national championship team that year. Well the whistle and the stupid song that they played every time they did something well.

I get what you are saying, but many of the FBSers think that NDSU would/will be competitive at the FBS level. 6-6 is not competitive.

Going to get it started?

Was hoping I stoped it by pointing out that KC's comment was not germane to the FBS argument.....We all agree (well most all) going 6 and 6 and playing in the toilet bowl is not appealing to anyone. Going Fbs and comepting is appelaing and that is what most of the FBS folks think would happen......NO response needed cuz I dont care what anyway thinks or has to say about it....not gbeibg a dickIts just I heard it all.

Anyway, I am just glad to see more and more kids pick SU over FBS schools. We all used to get all sorts of chubbies over this, now its kinda commonplace. Great Get and can't wait to see how it turns out.

So, going 8-4 and playing in the Toilet Bowl or 9-3 and playing in a super Toilet Bowl a great success??

Maryville wins the Missouri Class 3 Championship

The Spoofhounds snatched the lead early and never looked back in a 47-9 victory over Mt Vernon (10-5), marking the program’s fifth state title......

.....Maryville (13-2) scored on five of its first six drives of the game. The sixth ended with a turnover.

The Mountaineers were limited to 72 yards during that time.

“It starts by stopping the run, getting them out of what they were comfortable,” senior Jalen Sundell said. “I think that was one of the biggest keys.”

Congrats Jalen!

Keeps the streak going as that's the 7th straight year the Bison will have at least 1 player at the NFL Combine.

I don’t see results from any of his drills, so I assume he was a bit banged up. Unfortunately, he is probably a day 3 pick at best.

Kind of pleasantly surprised to see this Sundell draft evaluation from Josh Buchanan projecting him as a 5th round pick (and 3rd best FCS prospect): https://x.com/joshbdraft/status/1767054469445902378. He's one of the best draft evaluators for FCS (and lower) prospects IMO.

Sounds like the knee injury that kept him from doing most of the Combine drills won't prevent him from working out at NDSU's pro day where, according to Josh, he "should test well": https://x.com/joshbdraft/status/1767024897937617045. Hopefully he keeps the streak going to 6 straight years that at least one NDSU player is selected in the NFL draft.
