I don't remember a day with four SIX 6+ verbals - especially not in the summer.

Can you?

I do remember that Wurzbacher and Roehl signed on the same day, but that's about it.

Ditto Tony, I believe this is unprecedented. The coaches have nailed it so far this year. Welcome to Bartholomew, Mitchell, James and Tony. I always assume every new Bison will be meeting NFL
scouts down the road.

I believe it was 12/20/2014 (the day after the 35-3 beatdown of SHSU in the 2014 national semifinals) that there were 3 pretty big verbals (at least we thought so at the time) all on the same day. I'm thinking it was Trenton Mooney, Demaris Purifoy, and Bruce Anderson. That's the only thing close to today that I can remember.

Some pretty impressive offer lists amongst these guys as well. Based on what Scout has (and what Izzo tweeted for Ogbu's offers) these are the schools that were told "thanks but no thanks" in favor of the Bison today:

Brown (Kaczor)
Columbia (Kaczor and Kartes)
Holy Cross (Kartes)
Illinois St (Enz)
Indiana St (Enz and Kartes)
Jacksonville St (Pierce)
Liberty (Obgu)
Montana St (Kartes and Pierce)
SDSU (Enz, Kaczor, and Ogbu)
SIU (Pierce)
Tennessee St (Pierce)
UND (Enz and Ogbu)
UNI (Enz, Kartes, and Ogbu)
USD (Kartes and Nohava)
UT San Antonio (Pierce)
WIU (Enz)
Wyoming (Ogbu)

We now have 4 of the top 23 players in the state of Minnesota. Tre Lance (6), Phoenix Sproles (12), J. Kaczor (15) and Kartes (16)

Throw in the top player in ND who is 6-6 and my personal favorite the DE from Florida (Pierce) and hell yeah it's a good start to recruiting!

PJ Fleck might be better than Tim Brewster.

Nolan is a OT-DE. Old fraternity brother from Iowa is some how related to him. He told me about him last year so I forwarded the information to Hank. I herd he was invited to camp. Just was wondering if it was him.

We have 4 of the top 23 players in the state of Minnesota. Tre Lance (6), Phoenix Sproles (12), J. Kaczor (15) and Kartes (16)

The #2 player in Iowa with Saybein Clark

2 of the top 25 in Wisconsin - DJ Stewart (17) and Jackson Enz (23)

The top player in ND in Ogbu

And that's just from 24-7 sports

If we can get these all to signing day and still be adding several more to this class. Is this the best class on paper that NDSU has recruited, not knowing how they all will turn out.

It's so tough to say but this group is very skilled. I see 2 running backs who could be as good as anyone we've had. I see a great QB. I see some potentially great receivers but their size is pretty average. Pierce looks similar to Greg Mendard. Kartes looks big time and could be a linebacker in the mold of a Travis Beck. Dude is FAST!

I see a ton of 6-1 hybrid athletic players who are hybrid players. That's a good thing.

The olineman we got are going to be great guards and centers.

What we really need is another pure cover corner. That is the position I feel like we need more than ever. Gotta remember once upon a time we had Marcus Williams, CJ Smith, Andre Martin, Shepherd, Jordan Champion, and Aireal Boyd on the roster at the same time.

Also I really wish we could land another one of those 6-4, 6-5 D-Tackles. We are at our best when we develop the tall lanky athletic skinny kid into ridiculously talented players. Our 2013 National Championship team, most player in the D-Tackle position was 6-4 or taller and most of our DE's were 6-5. (exception 6-3 Emmanual and 6-1 Schaetz who was still a walk on)

All the guys don't have to be 6-4 or taller because guys like Kyle Emmaual and Brian Schaetz did just fine. After Morgan and Tanguay are gone, we still got 6-4 Cole Kartz, 6-5 Derrek Tuszka, and 6-4 Spencer Waege. Then we got OGBU who is 6-6. So we got the makings of a great D-line but the more the merrier.

Bison1660 folks were calling it an avalanche of recruits....

Think it was more like a stampede. A stampede of baby bison.

Only if our OT bench press on par with the national standards. I cannot shake that thot of King doing more reps compared to Lechler and Plankers

Makes me so crazy NDSU didn't have this kind of bench press guy. Think of the extra wins.

Glad somebody finally brought it up. My question, Does NDSU put a high enough priority on bench when recruiting?

Seems they only care about football ability, character and winning attitude/mindset and skill etc. these should be so far behind the bench press, the ultimate test of an athlete.

I'm a bit disappointed with the technique and lack of full extension. So much, that I'll post these here just to feel better knowing that some athletes actually know how to lift properly.

Fat loser

I can always lose weight but you will always be an idiot. We can take that to the bank.

FYI---when you try and neg rep somebody you have to have green chicklets to be effective. LOL

225 for reps is a joke with how athletes do it for these kinds of tests. Momentum and bouncing off the chest does not equate strength.
