This may have been mentioned before, but is there any relation to Darren Sproles? On the Eagles roster he is listed as being from Waterloo, Iowa (Kansas State). Darren Sproles has been a fun player to watch for many years, and last year playing with Carson Wentz on the Eagles I saw him more than ever. Wished the Viking had drafted him back when he came out of college.....

really? I always look through 247sports, and didn't even see UND as a team of interest, which surprised me a bit. I'm pretty sure he was invited to our camp, but obviously won't be attending. Hard to piece together all of the recruiting and offers for all of these kids.

Nevertheless, I think you guys got a good one with Sproles. Excited to see what he can do at the next level, especially when surrounded by more talent.

Don't think they "passed" on him. I just don't think they had extended the offer yet (purely based on his twitter and 247). I'm thinking he would have been offered at the camp, but as was stated, moot point now.

Personally, not sure why they would wait on a kid like that though. Get the offer out early, show your interest, especially for these guys with a lot of interest. I would have really liked to have the kid, but I'll assume the coaches know what they are looking for.

Maybe the kid wanted to play WR, and we wanted him as a Safety? No clue, and really doesn't matter at this point.

I'll agree on Lance, I don't think UND was even looking there. Yes, that would have been a big stretch to land the kid. Actually surprised NDSU landed him, and good for your guys.

Sproles? No clue on how realistic that would have been anyway. Kid had a lot of offers out there. Landing these kids just shows what 5 straight titles can do for a program. Definitely doesn't make it any easier for UND to recruit talent, especially from the region.

Or you can just stop being presumptuous and refrain from starting unsubstantiated message board rumors saying that it's anything more than injury rehab. It could just as easily be the team medical personnel and coaches are holding them back given the timing of this season and the proximity to next season. Entz said in his press conference yesterday that trying to manage a roster right now knowing that there's a full fall season only a few months away is "extremely tiresome and worrisome".

Meh we need them more this fall. This spring is a joke as shown by what's been happening. It's not going to hold the same weight as a regular season for most people.

So put yourself in the coach's shoes (you're good at that). The team doctors tell you these guys can play but they're not 100% so they're at a higher risk of re-aggravating the injury (or injuring something else trying to compensate) knocking them out the rest of the spring and potentially part of next fall as well. Do you play them now or do you wait until the medical personnel say they're 100% ready to go?

I'm being presumptuous here too with that scenario but I'm just trying to point out that this isn't as simple as it would be during a normal season followed by a full offseason.

If it was meniscus they can be very tricky. Little blood flow to the area can make healing time much longer. Need to make sure it's healed properly. Nobody wants knees that lock up, constantly hurt, or that you just don't trust. Especially a wr who needs stability to cut and rapidly accelerate
