This is good for NDSU IMO. The more we can be connected to UNI the better for our basketball situation long term.

It looks like Fresno St. is joining as well. Now we're pretty much coast-to-coast.

I got to ask Troy Steiner about this in Lincoln, and he confirmed that they will be in the Big 12 starting this upcoming season. Nice to see how quickly the Big 12 has expanded over just a few seasons. Should only be a matter of time before the PAC-12 gets their act together.

The remaining PAC-12 teams are not very happy with Fresno selecting the Big XII. Especially with Bose dropping their program. The PAC-12 now finds itself in the same situation the Big XII was in just a few years back, too few teams to obtain Automatic Qualifiers for the conference. They were banking on Fresno joining them to maintain the minimum number of teams to get AQs

They should have known better being that Fresno has been pro-Big 12 since they reinstating wrestling. Add in the fact that they were a part of the WWC (along with fellow MWC schools, USAFA and Wyoming) prior to losing their program. I believe the last time Fresno was a part of the PAC-12 was 1991. After that, they were in the WAC and then WWC.
