The softball team starts the Summit League schedule with two wins in Fort Wayne today. 4-1 and 8-1

Seems like we are a boom and bust team this year. Pitching and hitting working we win easily and then bats go quiet and pitching goes down and we lose easily. Not sure what is at the root of this. Time yet to sweep some conference series and win the league yet. I do realize we are young in the lineup.

Very young and I think losing Trachsel has hurt the pitching. She used to call the pitches. Hopefully they get in a groove by tourney time.

Losing Jaime was HUGE.. She carried a lot of the coaching responsibility . Having 2 true Head Coaches made that coaching staff Great. Darren is a good coach but seems a bit overwhelmed this year with young players and a new coaching staff. Having Jaime coaching 3rd gave Darren time to coach his hitters before they entered the box. Also having 5 out due to injury and 2/3 of those impact players has been tough. We only have 2 players from last year that had any real playing time besides our pitchers. Hopefully we can pull this off, there is talent on this team. GO BISON!!!!

Thanks for the info. Did not realize the injury bug had hit the team. This team can still put it together.
