Most man miles traveled to a post season game for any college football game.

~20,000 fans times 1083 miles from Fargo to Frisco equals about 21,660,000 man-miles. That is a lot of travel.

I don't think that would be accurate. 20,000 would be inflated as well.

Think about the big BCS games. Lots more people, sometimes traveling further.

False. This year's team should've beat Iowa by a couple touchdowns. The '13 tean would've had the 2nd team in halfway through the 4th.

Exactly!!

Last 7 Titles have either been WON by the Bison or the Team that Won it - beat the Bison?? Impressive - and the ONE other thing/stat that hardly anybody ever brings up is -- the TWO Bison Teams that only lost ONE game in their Season - a blocked FG vs the Gophers and the last game of the Season game vs the Rabbits - ONE loss - of course the NCAA has some rule where even though your programs moves UP - you're not Playoff eligible??? - Makes sense huh?? - So we'll NEVER know what they might've done. An unbelievable RUN, to say the least.

Hopefully the Men's BB Team can continue to get better and WIN the Summitt and make their 4th Tourney appearance!!

Go Bison!!

While his post may have said "any college football game," the thread title does clearly state "FCS," so limiting the scope to other FCS games is probably a fair way to interpret that.

20K may not be very inflated. A bit perhaps, but rounded up from 18K or 19K?

And as long as I'm on a roll... the correct word would have been "farther" instead of "further" in your post. ;-)

Put this on the watch list: The most wins in a decade by an FCS team is 119 (Montana from 2000-2009).

NDSU has 90 92 wins in the decade starting in 2010 so NDSU needs to average 10 9 wins over the next three seasons to surpass equal that.

Note: The NCAA records only look at decades starting at 0-years (1980-1989, 1990-1999, etc).

To set the record you need to average 12 wins per season. That is insane over a decade. Let's do it!

I edited my post because NDSU has 92 wins not 90 in this decade. Which is insane. It also means that NDSU "only" needs to average 9 wins a season to tie Montana's record.

I had this posted on a previous thread, but it is pertinent enough to be posted here as well. NDSU had two former players (that happen to rookies) get chosen for Nationwide's Gruden Grinder during their respective MNF games this past season. I doubt any FCS teams can match that honor, let alone elite FBS schools.

Most QB's converted to LB's?

I'll put a question mark here because I'm not 100% sure on this one but how many other teams can say they took a QB and successfully converted them into a starting LB? News of Hendricks moving from QB to S got me thinking about Esley Thorton. What an incredible story to make that change. Kudos to the staff for seeing that he could make it at LB and kudos to him for putting in the time to change his body and learn an entirely new position. And not just play but excel at it.
