South Dakota State: The Jackrabbits showed good poise after the rocky start and kept the game somewhat close in the first half before things got out of hand after the break. Those are part of the growing pains Otzelberger's young team figures to go through early in the season.

The league is down massively this year. SDSU is not really good, maybe they'll get it together during conference play but right now they are mess which is terrible for the league's RPI.

IPFW isn't as good as they were last year. Omaha, USD and NDSU are about the same...jury is out on ORU. Denver will probably need some time with the new coach.

That game had NCAA tournament level intensity, shame you don't see more solid mid-majors hosting a high major. The difference is less then people think.

I love seeing this though and hope it becomes more common year by rear. I would love to see the Summit become a big factor in mid-major BBall. Think how much more exciting our home slates become with teams like the Dons bringing their talent in.
