SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The 5th-ranked Citadel football team defeated Wofford 24-21 in overtime on Saturday afternoon at Gibbs Stadium, improving to 7-0 this season. The win was the Bulldogs' first since 1998 in Spartanburg.

With the win, head coach Brent Thompson now holds the record for most wins by a first-year head coach at The Citadel and is also the first coach in program history to win his first five SoCon games.
