NDSU is apparently holding a press conference at 3 p.m. today to announce an addition to the football coaching staff.

FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State University head football coach Craig Bohl today announced the addition of Fargo native Kyle Nystrom as assistant head coach and linebackers coach for the 2006 season.

Nystrom spent last season as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Division III DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. He was previously at TCU for four seasons and at Western Michigan for 13 seasons.

WDAYTV had highlights of the press conference. Coach Nystrom said he talked with his Dad about the job and was told that he better take it. He also talked about all of the Bison stories he remembers from family gatherings.

I will take you up on the Bud Select Sambini. Glad to see they hired Kyle Nystrom. I think it will be a good move for him as it has been all of Coach Bohl's former assistants.
