Former WR ('13, '14) Tyler Wrice had 1 catch for 19 yards in his season opener with Missouri Western State vs Neb-Kearney.
Former OLB/DE ('13, '14) Alex Hahn, now junior power lifter, just broke two Minnesota State Raw Records in the Raw junior Division for squad (260kg) and dead lift (287.5kg).
Former WR ('12, '13, '14) Desean Warren, now playing for Lindenwood, caught 5 passes for 140 yards in his 2016 debut. Also caught 23 passes for 265 yards last year for the Lions.

Any particular reaosn why Carey Woods transferred? I htought he made some big catches but maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

Sam Hahn went back home to Nebraska, now a starter on their offensive line.
Favorite quote from article above:
Hahn, by the way, has some advice for any FBS team thinking about scheduling FCS power North Dakota State."I advise any team -- never schedule them," Hahn said.
He had a lot of other complimentary things to say about NDSU in the article.

Well, he tried making NDSU's basketball team before he left NDSU.

Just run power, you'll be fine
He may have left for home, but he still gets it.

Hahn is a RT and is the same size as Lechler. Either way it worked out well for everyone.
Amechi is an OLB. We has him at LDE. He would have sat behind Kyle Emanuel and slowed the development of Greg Menard who has potential to be one of our best ever.
Either way the coaches recruit good athletes. In Amechis case, he was kicked off the team. Case of a young player being immature. He got his shit together which is awesome

I think he was talking about Alex Hahn (DE), maybe, and not Sam Hahn (T) that transferred to Nebraska. Either way, having both Hahns would have been amazing for our depth, but Alex Hahn (DE), I think was going to be something special had he not given up football.

Wasn't Alex Hahn, he's in school somewhere in Minnesota... as I mentioned early in thread, I read about him being some big-time junior power lifter now

Alex Hahn never really panned out. He fell off the depth chart. Started at LB but wasn't quick enough. He moved to DE but wasn't big enough. 6 foot DEs don't work in the MVFC. He was surpassed by 2 guys on the depth chart. Super strong kid but kind of a tweeter LB/DE. Sounds like power lifting is his calling

That stunt against Iowa where he came right up the middle to sack Beathard was a thing of beauty. See the sack at 1:05:20 in this video.
