Keith Brake will be the assistant program director at Bison 1660, play by play voice of the Bison for the football pregame and post game shows (with Dudzik), and is the voice of Womens basketball, and Olympic sports. He's doing baseball with Culhane too.

He will be hosting a local sports show on Bison 1660 from 4-6 daily. (starts Monday) I listened to an interview on 1660 and he said it will not only cover Bison Sports, but national and regional talk like the Twins, Vikings, etc

Looking forward to the him!

So, he apparently got the news he wasn't getting Culhane's job?

Keith is very talented and has a bright future, but I don't think he is ready to be the voice of the Bison. Someday maybe but he probably needs to find a smaller gig first to build his resume and hone his skills. He's definitely good enough to be the program director but its more than that. Im sad to see him go but its a career move

Also it's a tough ass gig. 2 hour radio show 5 days a week. Football game pregame and post game. Travel to all the road games for WBB. Lots of time in the airport and not a lot of free time. Plue the #2 guy doesn't get paid like the top guy does. Thats gotta be mentally draining. If I had to guess he thought it was worth if he could get Culhane money but Jeff left sooner than we thought but probably too soon for Keith

Quick poll:

Replace Joel Heitkamp with Keith Brake. Do ratings go up instantly? 3-2-1 go!
Time to bring new blood to KFGO!

You mean he's not bought off?

Probably a pretty short list who's not in North Dakota.
