Of note...the Sunbelt is only sending 1 player...4 for the MAC and 4 for the MVFC. Southern Utah is also still in the Great West. :D

9 for Bama.
8 for Clemson.
14 for Ohio State.
10 for Notre Dame.

Crazy how much pro talent some of these schools get.

Get 20+ of the top 200 HS athletes in the US and half turn into pro prospects. Crazy. Don't know how Saban does it.😄

BF02 said 4 for Valley. The website says 1 big sky but like he mentioned, SUU doesn't show up as Big Sky on there, but they are sending three. So four for the Big Sky as well.

Looks like most of the FCS conferences I've heard of have at least anywhere from 2-4 going as well.

This one has to rank high as an NFL combine, that rope on the unloading auger would build up arm strength! This CASE must belong to Coach Kramer?

Stop the presses boys and girls. We can't ever play in Frisco ever again! :(

"Bottom Line With a body type that is as prototypical as they come and a background in reading the entire field and working through progressions, Wentz will immediately check a couple of boxes that many college quarterbacks won’t be able to check. While his arm strength is OK, he can still make all the throws and he can make them with accuracy. His ability to escape pressure and pick up first downs with his feet will be yet another check mark in his favor. Wentz is still in a developmental phase after just two years at an FBS program, but has the mental and physical building blocks of a future, franchise quarterback"

I don't think they are going to get too excited over him practicing against an NFL backup with a total of one sack to his name.

The only thing better than an NFL backup is an NFL starter, and there are only a very few individuals in either of those two positions.

I used to harvest as a kid in the 1970s with a pull type version of the above, think the model was a 140. My dad had a West-Go chaff collector added to it and this pulled a small wagon behind. I think it was longer than today's pick ups pulling a motor home pulling a boat. Powered the combine with an Oliver 1600.

Yeah, the list of invitees to the NFL Combine doesn't lend itself to a long discussion.

It's currently a buyers market if you are looking for a real combine. And, I'm guessing it will get better.

Started on a 105 JD. It was an absolute beat down when it was hot with no air and in a cab with the wrong wind. Used to have to put both feet on the front window to pull the unloading auger lever back because I wasn't strong enough when I first started.

Grew up using IH 401 & 501's. The 401 was open air with no cab, the 501 had a cab but no way to cool it. I'm not sure which was worse to be honest with you. We used them on our farm near Balta, ND during the 70's (maybe even earlier?), 80's 90's & up until my started paying others to harvest for him in the early 2000's

That's exactly the way we did it. And the wind always seemed to switch at the wrong time, and the windows NEVER sealed up on the old trucks...

GOB1SON

We saved straw and chaff a couple of different ways. When I was younger, we had these red pull-behind drums that were ground driven. The straw fell out of the walkers onto chain, the chaff was augered on top of the straw and the chain elevated the straw into a drum. There was a rope that ran up into the combine and when the drum was full (you had to watch) you pulled the rope and the drum dropped and rolled, creating a small straw pile. The drum would reset itself upon completing the 360. The straw piles were then stacked in a stack frame or if they were close to home, we just let the cows dig in them during the winter. See, even in the 70's we were reducing our carbon footprint...

We also had chaff wagons and the chaff was blown into the wagons and then same principle, rope, trip the wagon when full, wagon tipped, pile of chaff and we would once again, let it sit and have the cows just dig in them during the winter.

We also used the augers to place the chaff on top of the straw and then baled it. I remember being a kid, baling with our old NH 845 and a Oliver 1950T with no cab and just hating it. If the wind was behind you, you absolutely had to pull out of the windrow and turn around to tie the bale or you were dying slowly in the deluge.

The good ol' days huh?
