No kidding! I'm tired of driving 10 to 15 miles in that traffic after game while intoxicated. I called the Comfort Inn Suites (located just NW of Toyota Stadium) about the availability of rooms. The lady said, "Ve von't know the availability of vooms until the end of Vebruary." WTH !!

3 immediate things came to mind

1) It absolutely needs to have championship in the name. If the GoDaddy Bowl and the D2 championship game is on, I'm always going to watch the championship game over the Popeyes Bowl.
2) They are trying to be just another game hoping to draw casual viewers. Maybe if the name has bowl in it somewhere, people will start caring.

It was absolutely not branded that way. I heard many times on ESPN, ABC, satellite radio, etc. that the first bowl game of the season was the one that started immediately after the Celebration Bowl. No talk about NCA&T or Alcorn St.

Just made my flight bookings. Planning on flying all three kids next year. Driving to Omaha, and flying direct on American on 1/5/17 on the way down using British Avios, and Delta on the way back on 1/8/16 via Atlanta. Hoping inventory opens up on American on 1/8/16, in which case I'll switch to American, and redeposit my miles for Delta. Cost me 50K Delta Skymiles and 30K British Avios. Not bad at all. (Except that r/t flight from Omaha is currently $169....problem is fare is non-refundable, where I can get miles back if needed.....would be a stellar buy to use my Wells Fargo points) If that somehow persisted until the semi-final game, I'd be moving to cash and go get my miles back.

I believe the 3 year pack was sold around this time of the year 3 years ago. However, the presale over the last couple years to those who bought tickets through the NCAA in previous years hasn't happened until the end of August. I remember last year it started the Thursday before the game in Missoula (which would've been 8/27).

We heard about this last year when we there in Frisco. Even saw the plans for the addition to the stadium. Too bad it could not have been done before the game. Losing 20-25% of your seats is a lot no matter how big or small the stadium is.

If they are under contract with the NCAA for hosting this event I would think that there would be a contingency clause of some sort whereby the NCAA could break the deal if these plans weren't disclosed at the time of signing.

Even if NDSU doesn't make it to the championship game, there very well could be 2 high level schools that collectively, could buy 20,000 tickets.

Play the damn game here....Capacity 18,500 and brand spanking new right next door in Allen. And it's a high school stadium!!! Beautiful facilty!

I called for room at the Holiday Inn Express we stayed at last year. You could hear in the lady's voice that she had no clue why they were all booked Jan 4-6. I got rooms at a different place mid way between Wild Pitch and Tight Ends. Walking distance to both.

History says in about 10 days for people who had previously purchased 3 year packs. About the last week of August for everyone else.
