I just turned on the TV few mins ago, South Team practice under Coach Bradley, there was Todd Wash coaching the defensive linemen and Coach Wash was miked! Seems like just yesterday it was 1990 Championship game against IUP, and TW was in on like 4 maybe 5 sacks!!

I remember Todd Wash very well. Remember that playoff, I think semi-final game, against Pittsburgh State at Dacotah Field? A very hard fought game. In the fourth quarter with the score very close, Pittsburgh was driving when Wash got his mitt up and batted a pass that was subsequently intercepted by another Bison. The Bison then went for a TD that sealed the victory.

IUP had an arrogant running back, either Rock something, or something Rock, and he was spewing smack on the run up to the Title game. IUP had two losses that year, their first game and their last game, and the Bison were responsible for both. He felt that IUP hadn't played very well that first game and was really, really looking forward to the rematch with the Bison. Well, Simdorn was suspended for that first game, but not the Title game. The rest is history. What was it...51-11.

Suspended? Why?

Suspended? Why?

Violation of team rules, or somesuch.

Carlson and Beachy alternated at QB in the first game.

Why are there Minnesota and Michigan players on the south team?

I think they just try to build a balanced roster.

Northern speed on a south team?

Baby Gronk with a couple catches. Youngest Gronkowski brother of 5,
he played against the Bison as a FB for Kansas State.

I know one of the Minnesota guys was a last minute add, so he just went on the squad that needed that position.

Also, WR K. J. Maye of Minnesota is a hometown (Senior Bowl) Mobile,
Alabama player. Would be hard to ask his family to root for the North, no?

It's obvious. Balances out the team speed. Keeps the South from turning it into a track meet.
