I was looking for the year-end list of top sports stories in North Dakota so I could get a good laugh.

Instead, I found that NDSU football was making top 10 lists all over the place:

the bismarck tribune does absolutely NOTHING for NDSU in its sports dept.

They have the 2 biggest NDSU names in the last 9 months Carson Wentz & Dexter Werner , they should be all over those 2 with weekly stories or follow NDSU more. NOPE!

Bismarck's own Dexter Werner - WAS TRENDING NATIONALLY on TWITTER & Led off on Sportscenter with his game vs Gonzaga

Tribune had NOTHING. there are some serious anti ndsu people over there.

I thought Memphis/Ole Miss game was the upset of the year in college football. Ole Miss was on a roll and Memphis was, well, Memphis. Granted, Memphis was on a roll as well, but they came back to earth at the end of the year.

USD has a fair number of players from the Sioux City area. Van Ginkel and Bouma for example.

Maybe his extreme over-hyping of the game is finally getting to be an embarrassment to even him? That theory's a stretch, I know.

But regardless, I do think he's got a severe talking-to coming from his bosses! We could be seeing a revision, or different list coming (maybe #'s 6-10?) with the F'hawks on it to get him back in the good graces of his peers and of management. :)
