12/21 vs Idaho St - Global Sports Hoops Showcase

Bison taking on Idaho St tonight. They are not a very good team at 3-5 two of those wins are over non D-1 opponents and the other was a 1 point win over a 6-7 Portland team. We've handled the Big Sky teams well so far and hopefully we should get a nice W tonight. Just need to come out with some energy and get on a roll, Idaho St is not a very good defensive team so hopefully we can start hot and then grind them down with our defense. Idaho St. did hang with Denver, losing by 10 but Denver turned the ball over 17 times in that game and let go of a 15 point lead in the 2nd half. Let's get this little 3 day tournament started off right!

Speaking of centers with shoulder problems, will be interesting to see if
Utah State's big man plays this week. Elston Jones, a 6' 9" 265 lbs Soph
dislocated a shoulder last week in practice.
While Jones only averages 5.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, he is, well, 6' 9" 265 lbs.
Perhaps Utah State can save his return from injury until their toughest
game of this tournament, NDSU.

I think some of it is not having an alpha player like LA, somebody you can just count on to get you out of slumps. Some of it is also just poor shooting in general, especially at the line at times.

To be fair, he said he didn't know and wouldn't know until they get back and have their doctors take a look and have an MRI. Could be really bad, could be not as bad as thought. Nobody knows.

This is true, and I did state speculated.Nothing confirmed but you can tell from the way Dave spoke that the early word he got form Utah State training staff/Doctors was not good. Not saying KB is out for the year but it doesnt sound good. Lets hope for the best, KB means a lot to this team and is the vocal leader.


Congrats to the boys for battling and finding a way to win, very ugly game. We have to find a way to player better because if we play this way its going to be a long SL conference season. Lets win another one tomorrow.

For team sports like MBB, there are two official criteria:

2. The player has to have played in no more than 30% of the total season's games. KB has played in 7 of 31 according to gobison stats.
3. (unofficial) The player did not redshirt for non-medical reasons. KB has not previously redshirted.

The bylaw is 12.8.4 in the DI manual.

Good to know. I'm not happy for Cory getting hurt but having him back next year when the rest of the team is better and more likely to make a tourney run wouldn't be the worst thing ever

Losing Kory is a huge blow to a team that already struggles to find energy on the floor. Hopefully it's not as bad as initially thought but certainly doesn't sound good, if he's done for the season with Trey Miller leaving the team does Richman pull the redshirt on Deng Geu to give this team the best shot to win this season or does he take it in stride and find a way to do the best he can with the guys we have for this season and save Geu's year of eligibility. Going to be an interesting call.
