I think the Bison will win, but Richmond needs to be respected. They have a good defense, a good offensive line, and beat the #2 (playoff seeded) team in the country pretty easily. Always hard to call these games, but Richmond is a very good team and is peaking at the right time. I watched part of their game against the Ill.State Redbirds - I was impressed.

walking my kindergartner into school (West Metro area) today with my green Bison hoddie on, what appeared to be a 3rd grade boy runs up to me and says, " that is an awesome sweatshirt" and another boy walking by looks and says "yeah, that is pretty sweet" He said his mom went to school there. RB - Jacobi Green vs Nick Deluca anf MJ.
WR - Brian Brown vs CJ Smith
Tackle - Nick Ritcher vs Greg Menard and Brad A.

Who wins those matchups will go a long way in deciding this game.

If the Bison DT are as disruptive as they were against Montana, I don't the the outside rush will matter much. Pressure up the middle will be the key in getting the Richmond Offense in a frenzy.

That is a good point. We are very fortunate to have two very solid guys in the middle. I do expect Richmond to be much better on the OL vs Montana. That was really the top weakness of the grizz.

We had similar domination against a much better UNI OL as well. The safety by Schaetz against UNI was one of the most impressive plays I have seen in a while. When i saw that I kept thinking of Nebraska's Suh.

Beginning of the week I had the Bison by 17. Now that I know that the Spiders run some sort of a 3-4 Defense, Bison win with a 7 pt victory. However, if they get the ball and go 3 & out to start and the Bison go and score on their first possession, the roof is going to blow off and it'll be a long day. If they get in any 3rd and long they are not going to have the same success as they did last week, because A) it's too loud for pre-snap play changes and B) our corners (or defense for that matter) are/is much better than ISUr.

He's literally all they have as a passer. The other QB has completed one, ONE pass this season despite him coming in as a runner. I really wouldn't be surprised to see them utilize this to their advantage at some point. At least try anyway.

This should turn out to be quite a good game. On paper, the teams are not overly unevenly matched. Richmond has the better offense, while NDSU has the better defense. NDSU has less turnovers, but Richmond has been able to generate more turnovers. When I look at this game, I see three main factors that swing the advantage to NDSU's favor: 1) Home field advantage - It is going to be loud, and many teams haven't experienced a place like the Fargodome. 2) Experience - NDSU has been there and done that. They know what is expected and how to win in a high-pressure playoff situation. Richmond doesn't have that kind of experience. 3) Level of competition - NDSU plays in the toughest conference in all of the FCS. Week in-and week out they are playing teams that are battling to get into the playoffs (excepting MOST, sorry Bears). But like I said earlier, no team makes it this far into the playoffs without deserving it, and NDSU will be in trouble if they overlook the Spiders. Prediction: Richmond 22 NDSU 29
