After listening to Coach P on Izzo and Kolpack i am paraphrasing but he appreciates that a QB in the nfl isn't able to come in and throw 40 times a game and be successful. They need 3 years or so under the belt to do that.

Seems the goal continues to be to open the offense up with stick.

My prediction:

Simple offense in the first gets NDSU up 10-0 or 10-3.

Offense gets more cute in the second quarter and something bad happens.

NDSU gets back to basic offense, defense closes with a late takeaway and team wins by 2 scores, but closer than necessary.

I think we as Bison fans are all a little nervous before every game but YSU has beaten mediocre teams. SDSU crushed them at Stanbaugh.

Watching some of their games, YSU is decent but no way are they better than the Bison.

YSU blitzes a lot. I suspect they will not do that as much because is one of the RBs or ES gets into the 2nd level, they are gone. Their pass defense is their strength, so I would expect them crowd the box and play a lot of press man coverage.

Screens and roll out passes will probably be effective today.

Every game for Stick this year will be his toughest starting with ISU(B). He needs to keep improving and getting better with each one for us to win a Natty. For now the focus is this game. Stick is still an unknown commodity (I know the guy can run), what is his ceiling for potential, is it possible that he could be one of the greatest running QBs ever and be a top 3 passer as well in the history of Bison football.
Game: NDSU defense shows up like last week. Maybe gives up 17. Turnovers I am going with us on the +1 side of things, even would be worse case scenario. Passing production suffers a little this game, but not for the wrong reasons, we just will not have much of a need for it, 175-200 yards. Run game works well but not a monster day like last week for the team, 250-275 yards. Probably a 10 point win, 14 max. Game is going to be painfully slow at times.
