Parks is dealing an injury and is questionable for tonight. He sat out against Chadron State. Flatten will also be out till the conference portion of the season starts up. I think this will be a tight one. Weber State is much improved from last season and are picked to win the big sky.

I have often wondered if Cody wasn't a bit of a problem last year. At times we seemed disjointed, he was a tremendous talent but I think the inside game this year will be more balanced thus stronger. That being said, it is early; by the end of the year it will be SDSU v NDSU for all the marbles. We shall see what happens. Right now I just want us to keep playing well, and I want to see NDSU beat Montana, badly.

is 6' 3" G JT Gibson, a freshman from Champlin Park HS (MN).
He was Minnesota's Mr Basketball last year and had an offer from
NDSU. Gibson choosing Omaha led to Coach Richman & Staff finding
Khy Kabellis in California. Gibson played 27 minutes at his home state

I agree I have been impressed with some of their role guys. I like the Daum kid, has good size and seems to be able to finish down low. Tevin king also has some good size for a guard. They definitely hit a home run with Parks, kid was great last year and seems to have gotten better. Jacks like always will be in the mix. I still think we can give them problems and beat them.

Daum has long arms and a pretty nice mid range fade away in addition to finishing around the basket, its going to be fun to watch him and Deng battle in coming years.

I am not sure how statistically accurate RPI by conference rankings are, but FWIW the Summit League is now up to #9 of 32 conferences. Some other conferences are Mountain West #10, Missouri Valley #13, MAC #14, Horison #15 & Conference USA #19.

MTSU was without their best player. Very athletic club but from the portions I watched really struggled to shoot and settled for a lot of contested jump shots. SDSU was without 2 of their started though, starting pg George Marshall who is expected to be later this week and Jake Bittle who will be out another 2-3 weeks. Good win for the Jacks. Easily playing the best basketball right now in the SL.
