All three ranked GWFC teams (on paper) are underranked. Not one bit surprised though.

Of NDSU's 2006 opponents, Only SUU and Northeastern didn't get at least five votes. Not counting the sacrificial D-II, CSP.

Of SDSU's opponents, SUU & UCA aren't ranked, along with our sacrificial lower creampuffs.

How much of the preseason voting is actual looking at the teams as opposed to tradition? No disrespect for GaSouthern, but how are they ranked at 12 with a new offense being put in place? I am thinking that is a tradition vote there...

You have to remember that the vote is a mix between SID's and beat guys. Some of the voters are nails and absolutely know world of I-AA. But, cmon, do you think some of the East Coast SID's have any idea about the still pretty new West Coast teams? Alot of this is based on tradition and lack of true knowledge. Dont get me wrong though, some people really know it well and I really respect them. That's why the Ags poll is so solid b/c it's die hard fans that pay attention to the whole picture.

I think the callout about McNeese was solid. One of the first things I saw and disagreed with.
