was 1.6 throughout most of the game.

at 7pm for Arena Football it was .2 rating (meaning most were there specifically to watch this game)

final national # should trickle out later today or first thing tuesday morning.

nationally: NCAA FOOTBALL L ESPN 03:30 PM 981,000 0.3 via nielson

THIS PROVES THAT MINNEAPOLIS/TWIN CITIES IS DEFINITELY APART OF THE NDSU TV REVENUE PACKAGE FOR FBS CONFERENCES TO LOOK AT!!!

Wow that's some big numbers. The highlights were also on espn.com front page for the entire day. Would have been nice if we had won but you can't beat 5 million people watching 2 great programs bust their ass off. By normal teams standards we didn't embarrass ourselves either. Casual fans seem to really enjoy the game. Good for both teams and the FCS!

How did the Sam Houston / Eastern Washington game draw last year?

National it drew a .3 rating which is roughly 981,000 viewers. It was pretty optimistic to think that MSP numbers could be extrapolated nationally. MSP is a natural constituency for NDSU unlike any other major media market in the US. Still, nearly a million viewers. Pretty awesome to think about.

mnriverbison you found the link !! 9 minutes ahead of me! ha ha

MSP numbers are legit so are the Local Fargo numbers... I am REALLY surprised to see the .3 but remember this doesn't really count Bars/Restaurants, so maybe a lot of sports people were watching there?? haha.

That goes both ways, we also get a lot of views being on ESPN vs ESPN2 simply because it is the default channel on in bars across the country. In the end it's good for exposure, people who were craving college football knew where to find it and were exposed to a top FCS game with a great atmosphere. All good IMO.
