We needed him yesterday.....big time.

He will be good to go for Weber in 2 weeks. He could have played yesterday if it had been a playoff game.

So just be getting 1 player back, it's fair to say we are already improving. We probably would have won had he started

I wasn't using the C. J. comment as an excuse..............
Just stating that he's a very valuable part of the secondary.

I do not remember that linebacker having any impact on the game last year. I remember NDSU's running backs shredding tackles and getting yards, which they were doing on Saturday as well.

I DO remember CJ Smith essentially shutting down Ellis Henderson and Jamal Jones, depending upon who he was matched up against. You can't possibly tell me that if he is in that game he doesn't have a gigantic impact. Not an excuse, it is a fact that him being out had a big impact.

They had difficulty running the ball against a 4 man front with almost no linebacker help. I wouldn't have minded it at all.

For as much as people bitched about the defense, I thought the run defense was outstanding yesterday.

There receivers made some huge catches that dramatically affected the outcome....CJ would have stopped a couple of those big catches which would have dramatically affected the outcome...
