Ducks are a very very good team that was playing at home and could do no wrong today.The ladies have nothing to hang there heads about.One of the best seasons ever.It has been a fricken blast following them this year.Thanks to the Seniors.My daughter was fortunate enuff to have Amanda Grable teach her the game at a NDSU camp and Have Krista Menke as one of her travel team coaches last year.She will be blessed with having KM as a coach this summer also.With the excellant incoming recruits and the returning team, I cant wait til next year..

What these ladies did on the diamond this year is comparable to or surpasses what the football team has done over the last few years. Amazing victories over Big Ten and other ranked
FBS teams and a top 25 ranking. Great season ladies ! You should be very proud of your season and accomplishments !

I believe she has an internship this summer.Two summers ago Krista and Whitney Johnson umped 18u games throughout
Fargo Moorhead area.For the girls who knew who they were it was a pretty big deal to have a D1 standout pitcher umping your game.

All we can do is tip our cap to the Ducks and hope that they win the whole thing.

That is VERY possible and it would, I think, validate NDSU even more in the softball world - maybe even get them a better draw the next time?

Let's not forget that the two teams that NDSU seal clubbed (Fresno State and Bringham Young University) were the champions of their respective conferences, considered to be "high major". That Oregon team is going to boat race whoever they play in the super regionals.

Let's also not forget that being ranked in the top 25 is something that fewer than 10% of Division I teams accomplish. The Bison made it to the round of 32. They would have beaten many of the regional #1 seeds, no doubt in my mind.

Nothing but respect and pride in what this team accomplished this year.

I just dont understand how ppl screw this up. It's laziness and sheer ineptitude. We call ourselves NDSU and North Dakota State. So why dont others? They dont call Oregon St "Oregon"?

Yeah NC State advanced. Looks like all of the top seeds have advanced so far other than Kentucky beating #16 Notre Dame and JMU losing. Gophers play Arizona tonight.

To win vs Oregon, we needed to be phenomenal. Instead we were pretty average and Oregon was making plays. Doesn't take away from what was a great season but a disappointing finish. I'm no longer excited about moral victories or representing well. Want to see us make the next step. I'm sure the ladies feel the same. We kind of got hosed in the pairings. Too bad since we would have had a chance vs anyone but Oregon. Good season overall. Let's look at this as progress

I have not been following her, but do you have any insight? With the continued success our teams have been having I am finding myself following just about all NDSU sports. Great season ladies way to play hard and fight till the end. Come back and get them next year. Go Bison.

Super regionals are best of three series between two teams that won their respective regionals. The pairing was decided when the brackets were made. Whoever won Oregon's bracket was playing whoever won JMU's bracket. Not sure how home field is determined.

I do tend to agree that facilities would have been a limiting factor but you never know... Just saying you can't immediately dismiss it.

From what I gather it is somewhat similar to the FCS playoffs.

The highest seeded team hosts, if both are unseeded it goes to bids and I also think the facility plays a role in the decision as well since the games are on TV.
