When you play a challenging schedule that includes six road games in seven weeks and two I-A matchups, opening the season against a Division II opponent is perfectly understandable. But North Dakota State didn’t go out and find an opponent it can just roll over. Concordia-St. Paul finished 9-3 overall last year and won six of its seven games in the Northern Sun Conference. An offense that averaged 450 yards and 35 points per game will provide at least some threat to a Bison defense that returns just five starters. Even if they do give up some points, the Bison offense has capable players at every position, and they should wear down the Concordia-St. Paul defense to win handily. Prediction: North Dakota State 49, Concordia-St. Paul 20
