In the midst of the football coverage, I am going to take this opportunity to interject a complaint about the radio coverage.

Up here in Minot, the game is supposed to be on 1270 out of Williston or 660 in Bismarck/Mandan. The Mandan station has pre-empted the Bison for a completely meaningless exhibition game by a professional team from Minneapolis. The Williston station is about 90% static. I am reduced to having to sit out in my car in the driveway trying to pull in 970. Please don't tell me I am going to have to do that when it gets down near freezing.

I don't expect a response during the game, but afterward someone please offer any suggestions to solve this situation. Thanks, and now back out to the car. :P

You have to let the backups run the offense so they can do it when it counts. You can't hurt the development of your team to prevent hurt feelings. Let the backups play. Parsons needs to work on the passing game still.

They actually only have 12 Scholarships, so they have about 1/5 of the scholarships.

NDSU looked great tonight, the offense is as good as adveritised this year. Both Walker and Parsons look better then last year. The o-line and d-line's dominated like they should and d-backs didn't make any mistakes. The only problems NDSU had were on the kickoffs, so Bohl has something to work on until the Northeastern game. Student section was jam packed as ever and the dome was loud. As for playing D2 schools, we should if we are playing two I-A's but I can't even imagine how rocking the Dome would be if we opened with a team like Georgia Southern. All in all a great day for Bison athletics, it's been a great day to be a Bison!

He's dead on, Walker came out and didn't miss a beat. I think having White out there makes him a lot more comfortable. And did anyone see Heckendorf's catch in the 1st half? If you didn't it was amazing, it was one of the greatest catches I have ever seen.

Was at the game and what a fun time and electric atmosphere. We looked great but then again we should have against the competition and that is no slam against Concordia St. Paul. We were supposed to win that game. Other then the special teams which has already been mentioned I will be interested to see how our front lines on both O and D look against higher caliber opponents, for me this was not a good test of our O and D lines ability or lack thereof. Again not to take away from the win it was great but lets see how we do when we get stiffer competition, we will need to prove ourselves against the likes of Ball State, Cal Poly, UCDavis and even SDSU not to mention Minnesota which will be the tallest order we have faced in a long long time. So lets enjoy this one but not get to overly excited about the domination as we were supposed to do that and anything short of total domination in this game and I would have been worried. Oh and did I mention its Great to be a Bison!!!!!

We were up on every defensive 3rd down ! And other critical play times as well. This may have well been the time frame when one of the guys came back to our section to announce that a certain Bison vehicle was stolen, so a bunch of us went out to look for it. I believe the Fargo PD found it in the Bison Turf Lot. I will let the owner tell the whole story on this one (or maybe he doesnt want to? )

I thought those guys did a great job! I didnt even know they did the games until I got "hipped to that dude" last night on line. Thats a great media program to develop and now if they do remote bradcasting it will really be an experience provider. Way to Go!

I don't get much of chance to listen to them much, but I do know they've done a great job covering the games (among other NDSU-related things). They've done a great job the last couple years with v-ball, baseball, softball/etc.

If you like what you hear, please consider helping them out with raising some funds. A new radio station in the area may be threatening to over-run their frequency, which could push the NDSU station off the air. They could still broadcast over the Web, but that would greatly diminish the number of students joining the station. I was a small part in getting the Web radio moved over to the FM dial a few years ago, so I know how difficult it can be to get things going with the radio program. It would be a shame to see them lose the momentum they've already got going.
