I was thinking UNI will come back if they can to the Big 12. This would be a better conference than the PAC 12 by far just with Wyoming, UNI, NDSU, OK, OKState, Iowa ST, and SDSU is getting better. That's around 6 ranked teams.

This has been a possibility for some time and I'm fine with it, but I don't love it. My preference, as a NDSU and college wrestling fan as a whole, is to see the WWC be split in half and have NDSU, SDSU, and Wyoming head to the big 12, while Northern Colorado, Air Force, and Utah Valley go to the PAC 12. Or if there are reservations with sending the best 3 teams to the big 12, the send Air Force or UNC with NDSU and SDSU, instead of Wyoming. The PAC 12 is very weak right now and needs more competition and numbers. Maybe when Fresno State gets there program back running it'll get better, but I'm skeptical. Arizona State has a monster recruiting class, but other PAC schools have done that and produced next to nothing.

The idea of seeing living legend John Smith and Oklahoma State in Fargo every other year is awesome though.

Plus Missouri was in the Big 12 until they went to the MAC. I hope it happens.

Oklahoma St saying this is a done deal in early March. I would love it and think it could be a big boost for recruiting a well.

Yesterday, during the gojacks.com video feed of the match, Terry Pack was announcing. He shared that SDSU was leaving the WWC and joining the Big 12 wrestling conference starting next year. His announcing partner seemed surprised that he was sharing it publicly and didn't know that it was for announcement yet. Pack said that it had already been brought up in other interviews. Bono has done a great job turning the program around and it will be awesome to see our student athletes compete against some of the best in the country every dual. There is so much positive energy around this program right now.
