Someone posted that they were a DIII team not that long ago and just moved up to DII is that true? Either way does not bode well for SDSU. Could be a very long season for them. Not good for the GWFC either :-/

I know they lost alot on defense but that shouldn't matter against a division III team. That aint gonna happen. They have a schedule that will prove their merit and if they have the W's they will be in. Thats a long way away right now so I don't think I would worry to much about it. They have alot of games to play before we get there.

The UW Wisconsin teams are better than people think. They should be DII. LaCrosse beat UMD and split with USD in recent years. You have to play these teams all out or there could be an upset. Still the Jacks should win a game like this.

The coach has to build them up even if they aren't good and make the players believe they are playing a team on par or better than them. I know Coach Bohl kept saying he was very nervous about Concordia St. Paul and I think other than the fumbled kickoff the tactic worked.

That's another thing I like about Coach Bohl, he doesn't take teams for granted, even a lower division team. *Don Morton was the same way, his big saying was "One game at a time".

Ive been watching SDSU for a while now. They could tank, for sure, but they have a history of being up and down. Im thinking Wisc Lacross has a good team and SDSU wasnt up for the night.

If they dont get to it they might have a long season. Thats my advice to SDSU. 8-)

I was at the game. Gil: you're being kind. It is true LaCrosse is better than people think. Under the current coach, has one of the best records overall in DIII. Last year they were 5-4 but won their conference the prior three years.

But tonight, with the poor play of the Jacks, I'm not sure I'd call it an upset. It was absolutely sickening. I'm very concerned about whether the Jacks can bounce back.

This game was very unfortunate. The good news for Bison fans that games against lower competition are played in the Fargodome so the outside conditions are not a factor. The conditions shouldn't have been a factor in this game, but probably did have some influence.

I was following this game on Saturday and kept thinking to myself what Vince Lombardi would have said. "What the hell is going on out there."
