According to McFeeley earlier, Coach Keeler complained to the NCAA about the Bison pregame festivites, saying they are too much of an advantage for the home team. Hopefully McFeeley grills him about it.

He did the interview before the NCAA complaining info happened.

OK..McFeeley just said his interview with Keeler was from yesterday....so no grilling.
I just love it when coaches make excuses in the pregame!!

Kick ass during the season and you don't have to worry about "too much home field advantage". I hope we blow the roof off the place and send their sorry program home with their tails between their legs by halftime.

Do you have a link? That sounds ridiculous

I've been listening to KFGO this afternoon. McFeeley has stated it multiple times that he has heard this. Nothing directly from the coach himself.

McFeeley was interviewing Jay Bartley in the last hour, and they both said they heard the same rumor. Thats all it is...a rumor. But they did talk about it a lot.

I think Keeler just asked for a couple extra decibles tonight...

I hope it is true. If he's worried about our pre-game then I doubt he's focusing on the things that are going to win this game for his team.

If you see people sitting around encourage them to start yelling and cheering. Also as a no huddle team we need to start cheering before they get to the line of scrimmage to disrupt their play calls not just before the snap.

THIS X 100000000. People need to be loud about 3 seconds after the ball is spotted. The communication starts for them almost immediately after the runner is tackled. I wish someone would do a pregame PSA on this.

My voice will be gone before the 1st quarter is over....good thing I can whistle loud....

How the hell can something that takes place before a game have an effect on what happens when the game actually starts? What he should be concerned about is all the SHSU personal items I have acquired for my voodoo ritual before the game...oh shit, do you think he knows about this?!?!?

I guess with all the FBS transfers, this is the 2nd FBS team the Bison have faced this year. Seems sorta like cheating before the game even starts, then coach Keeler believes he needs the NCAA to help the cheaters gain more advantage. This is the "quality" SHSU brings? Sound to me like SHSU will be bring a lot of cheap shots during the game, since he mentions in one of his interviews that a "clean" game would be favorable. Who says that unless they are setting up a scenario?

Pretty sure the pregame activities had nothing to do with that second half ass kicking. Try again Keeler!

I suppose he was trying to keep the fan noise out of the players head prior to running onto the field.

Link?

Guy seems like a class act in his interviews, but if this is true I may have to reconsider.

This^^^^^.

The rumor just doesn't seem to mesh with what I'm seeing in his interviews. And remember, it is McFeely. Nuff said.

I wonder if NCAA had a chat with NDSU as seems many things were toned down a lot last night would think that would have been something that occurred earlier in the week than Thursday...

It wasn't McFeely saying it, it was Jay Bartley when he was on McFeely's show Friday afternoon.

Only thing toned down was the crowd audio level on ESPN's telecast.

The warmup music was definitely quieter. The PA announcer was quieter etc. Wasn't hugely noticeable though.

From the Forum:

There were reports Friday that Sam Houston State wanted the NCAA to alter the entrance. But according to an NDSU official, it was a case in which the Sam Houston athletic director asked – during a normal pregame meeting with NCAA officials – if the lights were going to be turned down for the entrance.

The entrance went on as usual.

Sounds like the fan response to SHSU was much ado about nothing.
