Score will be closer than the game actually is, I'm going with a 8-9 point victory. 60% of the offensive plays will come from the run game (no surprise there) but half the yardage will be from passing due to some big pass plays. Bison pull off a spectacular trick play (have not seen one for a while so it would be kind of fun). Maybe coach K could call a fake TD run from a 1st and goal from the 1/2 yard line and have Wentz drop back and do one of those 3 point drop kicks, all just to get SHSU to think the Bison are Bat Shit Crazy and they forfeit the game in fear.

Sdsu wasn't really much for actual D points given up by "legitimate" offensive drives... They got 17 points with 40 yards of offense. Give them about 3-10 if your generous for the defense giving up. Costal did put up some points and executed offensively as good as anyone can hope to. Sam Houston will likely have to replicate that execution to score some points.

Of course probably going to be a battle again though.

No matter how you want to rationalize it, the Bison D and the special teams have given up an average of 28 points a game in the first two playoff games where the opponents were averaging 34.

Now we have a team coming in that is averaging 36 pts/gm. It is hard to envision this defense, and the special teams, the way they have been playing, giving up much less than 28 pts. The Bison offense will need to continue to be sharp, avoid penalties, and keep the ball secure to win this game because I am not sure the D or ST have it in them to win the game. I am also not sure my aging heart can handle another 4th quarter extravaganza :(

SHSU QB will have to win this game himself if the Bearkats plan on winning. He's going to have to make the right reads and pass accurately or the defense will make him pay. They are hungry to prove they are better than they have shown and last week was a practice week for the offense they will face today. I'm calling Dudz gets at least one pick today. Offense needs to come out like they have the last two games and score TD's early and often and then never let up on the gas. There's nothing to hold back for this week. They get 3 weeks off this year between now and Frisco. Lay it all out on the line and don't hold back. If you're up, keep pushing. If you're down, don't panic.

SHSU lost to a division 2 school. And while it is true that they are a completely different team now then when they got smacked down by Peublo College or whatever it is, that fact remains, they got beat. For you see, NDSU must prevail. For if they do not, it is possible that the FCS champion would have lost to a D2 school. That is a disgrace to the FCS division and it cannot happen. It must not happen. If it does, then there goes any credibility that the FCS division plays as good as football as anyone in the country. And if that's true, then that means bowl games such as the R & L Carrier Bowl, the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl and the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl are truly big time. It was found to be completely fine by the NCAA all other times. GT verified that it was ok, because it wasn't clear if it was allowed or not. The NCAA officials don't like things such as the announcers begging for the crowd to make noise, which isn't done at the Fargodome in the playoffs.

My anxiety has subsided considerably less since the SDSU game. Coastal made me aware that these are still very good football teams coming in and we have to play solid football to advance. SHSU I think will be affected by the noise, hopefully a few false starts result from this. We gotta get to this QB early, and play the TOP game too with our offense. The thing that is getting me a little confused is we are running zone - I presume to take advantage of their pursuit...if they don't start mixin up this vanilla game plan it could be a long day. Shsu is capable up front - but shit anyone at this point can defend fuckin inside zone.
