They finish 7-5 with an FBS win over Ball State, and wins over Liberty (which won the Big South), and Northern Iowa. Are they in, or one of the first teams out?

They are toast. Ball St. is not a strong win despite "FBS" label.

Nope, not with the east coast bias and the anti MVFC sentiment.

Five losses not likely...

If they would have played a DII like Montana, Montana State, SFA did instead of Indiana, they'd probably be in at 8-4.

Even so...the biggest problem they have is the 29 teams battling for 14 spots. If the Griz win...that will make it even more difficult.

Seriously I bet Idaho St gets in tomorrow.

I think Bethune-Cookman, Montana State and SFA will be the last teams in the field.

I have a real hard time putting B-C in my bracket, especially with having to have OT to win today and the loss last week.

Well the alternatives aren't good, teams with five losses or less than 7 DI wins. Easy to just put in the 9-3 MEAC team like last year.

While I agree that records do mean stuff, if you are going to compare wins and losses and look at schedules side by side I would put ISUB in over B-C.

Ball St is a better win than FIU. Both have an FBS loss. But B-C doesn't have a win over a playoff team. While ISUB's loss to WIU is bad, they beat Liberty, and UNI who are both probably playoff teams. Plus played ISUR tough. I'm glad I'm not on the playoff committee, although I would like to be a fly on the wall. I'm sure that today complicated lots of scenarios.

5 losses and head to head, the committee does not want to take a 5 loss team.

Did the committee say that publicly? Or is that just speculation?

I think maybe they did? It's all over AGS as having 5 losses being a big deal.
