View Full Version : DIAA to a DIA Bowl game?

I know that the rule in DIA was that in order to go to a bowl game you had to have a winning record and at least six wins with no more than one against a DIAA team. However they changed some of this recently, am I wrong or was the DIAA counter eliminated? If so, what if the Bison did go 10-1, we are not eligible for postseason playoffs but what about Bowl games? Are Bowl games considered post season? Maybe we could play a mid level sun belt team or something? Just dreaming here but it would be cool if it could work out.

I say send the game tape to Myles Brand and say let us in the IAA playoffs!

Like I've said for a while now - We could petition the NCAA to let us be playoff-eligible earlier than 2008.

Maybe Bob Backlund could just put Myles Brand in a cross-faced chicken wing until he lets NDSU into the playoffs. :)

IA= gay when it comes to how many bowl games there are.

Stick with the playoffs. If they want to call the NC game a bowl game then so be it, but other than that keep the 100 worthless bowl games other than a NC bowl game out of IAA.

I think this thread is more about the fact that NDSU cannont see the I-AA playoffs until 2008 than anything about I-A. :)

I hate the bowl system. Playoffs are MUCH more exciting!!!! As for 2008....I am going to miss Steve Walker..he is a real leader and I hope someone can step up to the plate and hit a home run

The title and this thread are rediculous. If we want to be viewed as arrogant, we can post stuff like this. We are already being blasted on other boards for thinking we should be in a bowl, and rightly so. Time to come back to earth. SFA next week.

Your right, I was pretty jazzed up yesterday and am getting way ahead of myself. Beating SFA will be a big enough challenge as it is.
