Many UNI fans are simply writing off this season and taking advantage of NDSU fans. It is the curse of you guys travelling well. Cheap Iowans know they can pay for their season tickets by sticking you guys for exorbitant prices. Lots of Iowa State fans did it at the beginning of the season and know UNI fans are doing it too.

I still hold out some hope that UNI beats ISUr and makes the game with you significant after all. And I'm still buying tickets.

I don't think prices will drop very much, especially if UNI wins this week. Most people with tickets still want to go to the game, but are more than happy to skip the game if you guys essentially pay them enough to cover next year's season ticket. If UNI loses this week, prices may drop some.

In their minds, getting you guys to pay $35 for a ticket in Cedar Falls after this season probably feels like a "steal" for UNI fans selling tickets to you. And yes, many are cheap bastards. I'm really mostly thinking about the guys in our field endzone section for the Iowa State game who sold tickets for $100 or so. They probably thought they were sticking it to you. Our AD is taking care of that by changing our price for good endzone tickets from $175 to $750!

When we go to games in Cedar Falls, we tailgate in the south lot . . . beyond the parking lots and down in the grass. It is a great area . . . lots of room to spread out games . . . which may still be the case if your big rigs and most of your fans are in the north parking lots.

Last time we were there we parked in that grass lot kind of on a hill. Good time. Lots of NDSU and UNI fans!!!!

I've tailgated in that grassy area every year we've gone to UNI. Usually a mix of fans. Its a good spot. Weather for Saturday might be a little dicey though.

Ndsu in 2008 & 2010 brought 2500-3000 fans
Ndsu in 2012 had about 2000 it was lighter.
Ndsu in 2014 will look lighter because of the ticket screw up where they only let you pick east or west so bisonation is gonna be scattered and we are 33-0 & interest has waned sad to say.

OK you travel nerds....we are leaving from the South east side of the cities and heading to Dyersville Iowa on the east side of the state (to see field of Dreams) Is 52 the best way to go? Its pretty much a direct shot, but Rock says it may be small towns and stoplights too. Any thoughts?

Yes. US-52 is the way to go. Coming in to and leaving Guttenberg is simply gorgeous. Too bad most of the fall color will be gone by then. Spent a ton of my childhood there. (Grampa and Gramma) There are some small towns to go through but just relax and enjoy a great slice of Americana.

IZZY you are so right. Its a great drive. Drove it many times from IC to La Crosse when I was at Iowa. Took that drive last fall after a game in IC. Brought back a lot of memories.
