SEC is under represented. no purple. I think Sagarin's top 5 this week were all SEC teams.

Oregon over Bama was a surprise to me, I think Sagarin has that right. UGA also seems a bit low in the committee's rankings.

Pretty sure my irish message board crashed. How on God's Earth Michigan State is in front of us....no idea. Who have they beaten? Nebraska? Cool beans. And how the hell do we forget the game in Eugene? Oregon? Loses to Arizona?! TCU had a major meltdown against Baylor no?

Not overly worried about the SEC, Ole Miss, Miss St, Bama, Auburn, could all devour each other....also, AUBURN!???! WTF? Congrats on beating K-State...really...I mean it...but convincingly gets beaten by Miss St. If Notre Dame goes 11-1 and a 2 loss team gets in....I might go postal.

Honestly thought the lowest ND would be was like 7.

I constantly hear from SEC fans about how their OOC games don't matter because their conference games are the toughest games in the country. Ooops. Sounds a lot like MVFC homers.

Maybe a bit and probably some bias against putting 4 SEC teams in the top 5.

They are living off what they have done in conference, honestly winning at LSU and beating Auburn is very impressive.

Silly, humans. The "dumb" computer agrees with you, marenlee. Sagarin has them 4th, behind 3 1-loss conference mates.

I'm ok with Miss St. being #1. But damn, that's one of the most pathetic OOC schedules I have ever seen. Two of the worst FBS programs in UAB and S. Miss, a football startup program (USA), and a horrible FCS team.

Not sure I would be ripping any team's wins if I was an ND fan.

It is hilarious seeing the reaction when there is still plenty of football left to be played. However I really hope we do not see 2 SEC teams in this year. As long as there's a 1 loss P5 conference champion, IMO an SEC non-champion does not deserve to go. If that does not happen you will see the pitchforks immediately from the other conferences start pushing for an 8 team playoff.

They're going to have to curb stomp Arizona State, Louisville and USC. A 3 point win over Stanford is not getting it done.

Well we've already had a rematch of a home loss between two SEC teams for a national championship (and people didn't seem to troubled by that at the time) so there clearly is no barrier to 2 SEC teams making a 4 team field.

I liked this bit I read today, I think on TheBigLead. (Paraphrase) "Like the last decision making process, this will only work when there's no decision to be made."

Oklahoma 28 - Iowa State 7. 2nd quarter. Iowa State tries a fake punt receiver wide open drops the ball. Looks like it's going to be a beat down.

You got lucky this year by not having that annual slug fest against Temple. Or is that PSU?

Navy gave Notre Dame all they could handle last year, too. They play every year. How can Notre Dame not have the triple option figured out by now? It's not like Navy's scheme changes.

Either way, Navy is a fun team to watch.

Not sure. Current d-coordinator has not played the veer since like '04. MLB aslo broke his ankle but I don't know if that was before or after Navy started scoring a bunch.
