I watched most of FSU vs NC State. No way is FSU #1 if NC State only gets votes. FSU defense is suspect.

There is no dominant, clear cut #1. Every team this year has a glaring weakness. This is a very open field.

FSU is not as good as they were last year but they did beat a ranked team without their starting QB, that is rather impressive.

They gave up 41 against an unranked team. Not impressive at all.

They gave up 41 against an unranked team. That's not impressive. However, maybe they just had a bad game. NC state QB was pretty good as was their RB.

Has NDSU got votes in the AP poll every week this season? Does anyone realize how unprecidented and insanely amazing that is? Historically, correct me if I'm wrong, the DIAA/FCS champion was given 1 vote after they won the title game as sort of a nod of accomplishment to them. The face that NDSU has gotten votes all year, and even got tons of votes last year that almost got them in the top 25 is just crazy!

FSU always has a tough time playing NC State.

This season we have had one guy, and it is the same guy every week giving us a vote! Yeah, its cool but it is only one guy. Most of the voters in the AP poll refuse to vote for an fcs team. Anyway... my hats off to this guy!

Also, last year there must have been a few people voting for us at the end of the year since we had 29(?) votes.

Plus, 8 of the top 26 and 9 in the top 40. Only WIU not represented here, and they're not too bad either, me thinks. But the beating up of each other in the MVFC starts in earnest this week, so ...........................................

Me thinks that the MVFC will be a real gauntlet this year. I would love to be proven wrong and have the Bison sail through, but we shall see.

Craig Haley has 5 MVFC teams in the playoffs and one more on the bubble. Not really a fan of that road to the championship though.

Yeah It seems like even last year the forecast looked like a tougher road for NDSU too. If they put 3 MVFC teams in that slot to try and make it a MVFC game vs NDSU round two would be ridiculous and almost make me think that the committee would be purposely trying to keep NDSU from making it to the championship game in Frisco. The reward for being top overall seed could penalize them this season? I know it's early but his projections are usually pretty good and close to what the field looks like. But the way NDSU has helped put focus on the FCS it would be hard to see them putting UNI in that position to make that a possible matchup that early in the playoffs.

Two teams on would love to see play the Bizon in the playoffs are Howard Bison and the Bucknell Bison. Howard is out at 1-4, but Bucknell is 4-0.
