It's not 3 votes, it's one vote at 23, giving NDSU 3 pts.

That's actually better.

I think having 3 people think we are a top 25 program is way better than 1 person thinking we are the 23rd best program. One can be an outlier, three is more a trend and likely bears more weight.

Easy to tell which poll is the most accurate. A certain team loses to a DII and is still ranked in two of the polls. Outside of the top-40 in the other.

I wouldn't completely base it on them losing to a D2 team...though the way they lost should get them unranked. Is EW good? I think so based on how they played the Huskies. Sam Houston played well against EW, and who is to say that the D2 team they lost to (I know nothing about them) wouldn't be ranked if FCS? Should FBS teams not be ranked because they lose to NDSU? I don't think so because I think NDSU could be a top 25 team.

If NDSU rolled an FBS team by 30, then they probably have no business being ranked.

I would expect a top 25 FCS team to at least be competitive at home to a top 5 D2.

Equally embarrassing is the lack of recognition for Indiana State.

And SHSU scored most of their points in garbage time against the 2's of the D-II school. I'll pause and let that sink in.

Also, SHSU for the most part couldn't be stopped by EWU. The D-II smothered them. I'll pause again and let that sink in.

does it really matter after the top 3 or 4 teams?

Hell does it really matter after the top 2? I couldnt name you one thing W&M, Bethune Cookman, Chattanooga or Liberty have going for them. I could tell you that they would lose to the top team(s) by 30.

Remember when Maine was a top 5 seed last playoffs, and now they're 37th?

good god. and some of you don't mind being associated with this hot bed of steaming shit?

You would think the one coach that still gave EWU a #1 ranking would connect that fact that SHSU gave EWU a good game on the red turf and then lost to Pueblo. Not to take anything away from Pueblo, but you think that would give the Bison that one missing vote for unanimous #1 vs sticking with EWU.

I can't see us ponying up the necessary cash to get them to come. We'd probably have to pay them a minimum of at least $500K. Maybe more like $750K. I would think that a home and home is more likely, and that probably isn't very likely.

No kidding. Why would they play a home game with their 8k fans on a Wednesday night, even if it is NDSU, when they can be slaughtered for 750k and play on saturday?
