CSU still remembers what an FCS school can do.

Interesting article. The NDSU win is still being talked about in that community.

NDSU seems to be getting a lot of press even in games they aren't involved. Sort of like the Bizon have become a measuring stick .... a standard of measure in college football.... at all levels

I love the photo of Brock and the caption. Best part of the article.

In a game played two years ago, CSU defensive back Austin Gray tried to slow North Dakota State quarterback Brock Jensen by grabbing his towel. North Dakota State, an FCS power, hammered the Rams 22-7 in Fort Collins.

That doesn't look like it's going to end well for Mr. Gray.

I remember how ignorant and clueless the fans on their message board were. They thought they were guaranteed the win just because they were FBS, even though they play in the MWC.

What a bunch of putzes.

Denver resident with many CU and CSU grad coworkers. They are well aware that the Bison are superior to both. There isn't even an argument when I wear my Bison gear on Fridays. There's true respect for NDSU and after the K-State and OU bball game, there's nothing but admiration. People ask me more about the Bison than I would ever muster up the energy about the Buffs or Rams.

Apparently some CSU beat writer thinks FCS openers are why their attendance is bad. In my response to his article on twitter he said Oklahoma State didn't sell out vs Missouri State so that proves his point. I informed him of Kansas state last year and said winning will lead to increased attendance, he replied OSU>KSU so he's right. Best part of the article is when he references Minnesota as a marquee home opener, its hard to become a Rams fan when such an idiot is affiliated with the program.

Yeah and all those games listed had quite a few ticket sales for their game. What he fails to mention is that most of those games were played in the first two weeks when those teams use them as their "tune up" games. Also I look at it as most teams want to try and get in a "safe" team for the home opener to try and get a WIN to get the fans and team fired up. Do they think brining in UCLA or Oregon for home opener is good? Yeah may sell some more tickets but that because they want to see the GOOD team. Not cause of excitement for CSU. Also, if they would get that stupid rocky mtn showdown game back to a home and home and not play it in Denver they would have a good rival home opener. I have heard others around here complain about that guy before too.

100% agree, I was so frustrated by his reasoning. If he can't realize winning increases attendance there's no point in arguing with him.
