Does anyone have an official word on what Hardie's injury was and a timeline on his return?

Didn't see anything official. Coach K implied a hamstring injury and doubtful for this weekend.

And more reps for Hahn and maybe Tuzska?

True, i think BA starts not that it matters as we rotate

I thought Hahn looked good against Iowa St. These next two games will be good for him and Tuszka to get some reps and build depth.

Sources are saying #NDSU DE Mike Hardie will be out at least 6 weeks with hamstring tear.

Aaron Steidl time.

Damn. That's an injury that could linger
How about Menard? I thought Steidl was a walk on DT?

Not sure why they would yank a DT redshirt after a DE got hurt. You have inside info?

Scrolling through the roster we have Ambrosious, Hahn and Tuzska at DE and all 3 played at ISU. We will be fine.

Naw. For a minute I thought he was a DE and I thought about what Klieman said at the press conference. Disregard.

Ok I get it now. Menard would most likely be the DE to get redshirt pulled if a bunch of DEs go down

Tough break. Mike Hardie is a really good player at DE - and Coach Klieman was talking about maybe having him play tackle.

Hope Mike gets well soon. That play looked pretty dang painful.

When I re-watched the game, I noticed at the end of that play you could see him rolling and hear him screaming/yelling in pain. Understand why now.

Coach K. said the Hardie was ready to be a difference maker this year. Too bad for him, hope he gets back onto the field as we need him.

Hamstring tears are nasty - pretty sure that they make your leg into one big bruise. Hope he is able to get around campus OK. Sucks for a senior to miss any games, but a full recovery is more important.

Guess the botched-PAT-with-lateral-from-holder-to-kicker-and-pass-to-DE is out of the playbook this week.

medical hardship?

BisonNation11

medical hardship?

Depends on how much time he misses. I think from memory with Heagle's injury, he can only play 30% of the time for the season in order to request a medical hardship. Someone in the know may be able to give a better description and info.

Did he redshirt?

Did he redshirt?

Yes he did

Yes he did

Then it would surprise me immensely if he were to be granted a medical hardship.

I wonder how it gets to a point your hamstring tears?

I've seen it called a groin injury in at least 2 articles in the Forum (both written yesterday). We all know how reliable they are; it's a hammy for sure, right?

Are these hammy injuries due to not stretching properly or is the area turning into beef jerkey.

I noticed the stories saying groin injury too. When you watch the play back where he got hurt, his legs kind of did the splits. Based on that, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a groin injury.
